That may be true, but I can't shake the feeling the everyone else has lost.

They have to touch every planet with at least some actual work, there aren't any that are entirely generated that they didn't have to do at least some minor work on. But only a handful are truly like, handcrafted as in the way that the worlds of Skyrim and Fallout are.Maybe I read it wrong awhile ago, but wasn't there a set number of "curated" planets. Let's pretend and say like 5 planets. And the rest of the 995 planets or whatever are generated?
I get that everyone has different taste and all, but...how do you make a list like this, of the year's biggest games and not include ToTKWhat a year for gaming.
FFXVI
Diablo 4
SF6
Redfall
Starfield
Spider-Man 2
Not even mention what has already came out/coming out this month.
Eh, with Spiderman 2 only releasing on PS5 I don't think Starfield has much to worry about. PC release will carry Starfield. Also if Starfield is anything like Skyrim in terms of sales longevity, there will be a steady stream of buyers for a long time. Spiderman was a one and done for me. Skyrim I've played through over the years multiple times. Don't even get me started with mods.
I do also hope that it lives up to expectations, but unlike you I'm keeping mine tamed. I just want them to improve typical Bethesda graphics, which it seems they have, get the framerate right, the PC port right, and 100s of hours of play. The replayability seems to be built in.
I'll be playing via Gamepass and purchasing with the discount on PC. I need to "own" this game.
June would have been terrible.Nice to get a date. Would have liked June, but a couple of months delay isn't the end of the world
Aren't most games built on PCs or PC-like dev kits before being optimized for specific hardware?Same for me. I'm preordering a physical copy for Series X the minute it goes on sale. I did the same thing with Halo Infinite because I have to OWN both of those games. It kind of sucks those are the games I buy since they will be on Game Pass forever anyway, but it is what it is.
Is it a PC port? I suspect PC is the lead platform and then they will port to Xbox although in the past have also used Xbox as the lead platform, on Skyrim I believe.
I think so, except Bethesda. They've always had VERY close ties to Xbox as well as PC.Aren't most games built on PCs or PC-like dev kits before being optimized for specific hardware?
I don't like wating for games and live for the here and now.June would have been terrible.
We have SF6, Diablo 4 and FF16 in June. There would be no time to be able to play all these titles. September is perfect.
Well, first half of the last half.I thought it was supposed to be first half? Cool anyway to finally know.
Still more exclusives than PS. Just saying.
You must learn to have patience or you won't be able to succeed in life.I don't like wating for games and live for the here and now.

I like to enjoy games in the here and now myself. You must learn to have patience or you won't be able to succeed in life.
Good point, I'm not really sure to be honest. Gameplay they showed was on Xbox so I assumed it was developed from the ground up on the Xbox Dev kits...but tthis by no means is a given.Same for me. What a relief for Yoshi-P and Square Enix. Todd showed some mercy and decided to wait a little before releasing the RPG of the decade.

I figured. LOLJust forgot. I have it preordered too lol
??? Havent they confirmed a June Showcase?? What am I missing. Starfield was promised it's own dedicated show, which is happening. I don't see what that has to do with the normal Xbox/ Bethesda Showcase in June. That's for sure still happening.so all we have at fake e3 is a sf show and that is it??????
if so lame.
Would be nice if they continued to periodically release more handcrafted planets as updates DLC post-release. If they were smart about it they'd be setting Starfield up to be almost an RPG maker for the future. They have to touch every planet with at least some actual work, there aren't any that are entirely generated that they didn't have to do at least some minor work on. But only a handful are truly like, handcrafted as in the way that the worlds of Skyrim and Fallout are.
yeah, "many of the hallmarks that you'd expect from us" is probably not a very wise choice of words when spoken by someone representing bethesda..."many of the hallmarks that you'd expect from us"
Like tons of bugs never fixed after 7 years?
If this game bombs its the end of TH on Bethesda...we are a few months to know that. Hope the game does not ends as a Mass Effect clone..
Guess they will release more gameplay videos next months..
33rd here, I am becoming a very old manThen you didn't watch the video.
29th here!
33rd here, I am becoming a very old man
Doesn't mean it has to be the exact same animation.
Why does Todd Howard keep putting himself in every video?
And Baldur's Gate 3, this year's so crazy, and it's so hard for developers not to have their games released very close to other potential GOTY or multi million seller gamesI get that everyone has different taste and all, but...how do you make a list like this, of the year's biggest games and not include ToTK
I meant September 29th lol. I am older than you!33rd here, I am becoming a very old man
Here ya go ya filthy animals. Game play.
