I got a feeling HBII will melt brains into full blown slurpy cups! That game is going to look absolutely insane! The last gameplay they showed was ridiculous in the visuals department.
Gameplay? When did they show gameplay?
The last video I remember seeing was the announce video.

No way they were going to model 1000 planets by hand. They're AI generated though against certain guardrails, and then devs go over each one to ensure they're good and consistent.
Looks like the best solution for having tons of extra planets to explore.

Spiderman 2 isn't releasing on any platform where you can play Starfield. No idea how your logic goes...that Steam or Xbox players will put down Starfield because of a PS5 exclusive title? :messenger_grinning:
Yeah. I'm betting Spiderman 2 will take a hit if it's too close to Starfield. Just a huge, huge game incoming. Hype will be massive the week of release.

Why not? That's one of the perks of being acquired by a trillion dollar company. I'd place an avatar bet that it's probably the most bug free game they've ever made on release. Bethesda games are pretty incredible in their own right, for sure. Imagine Starfield releasing without bugs? That kind of news will spread fast in the gaming community, and make the game that much better.
Does Microsoft themselves release bug free games? No.

So starfield in Sept means no chance of any other wanted big ms release besides forza this year. I was hoping for hellbalde 2 at the end of the year.

Does any corp? I'll give credit to Nintendo they're the best and limiting the bugs in their games and they're the best in the business at it, but even their games have bugs.
Also, I can't think of any openworld game that didn't ship with bugs, can you?

No, I am just setting expectations - people thinking Microsoft will suddenly make Bethesda studios release bug-free games is misguided imo

"The Giant Hit" is still not able to get millions of views on the video, where they announce the most important thing - the release date

Show me where Starfield touched you.

I don't, but I also don't expect an open world game to be bug free either
Yes so that’s fine. I’m talking to the people who are acting like if this game isn’t bug free it’s some sorta disaster when it most assuredly will have bugs and that’s to be expected

Most games launch with bugs, especially open world games like this.
People are just getting excuses in so they can lable the game bad or a flop. They know there will be bugs, thats why they are saying stuff like that. Its cringy but fanboys will be fanboys.

Nope. It doesn't mean that. They've got way more studios now, and need to sell more consoles, so they don't necessarily have to hold back software that's ready for release.

And yet it's the top most wishlisted game on Steam.
You know, you could always save up the $249 and pick up a Series S so you don't have to make posts like this.

It’ll be huge on Steam, that’s where Bethesda’s games are thriving. But will MS or Valve show those numbers? Have they showed numbers for Forza Horizon or Halo or Flight Sim? I’m thinking we’ll just have the isolated MS bubble player number, the rest we can only speculate on. I remember an interview with Todd where they talked about the 30 million copies sold for Skyrim, a number that has been floating around, he said they were way way higher than that, no direct figure mentioned though.

Xbox was the dominant launch week platform for Skyrim.
Steam is a much bigger platform these days, and Xbox consoles are significantly down over the Xbox 360 heydays, but I expect Starfield to sell very well on Xbox too...especially if the game lives up to expectations.

Yeah I’m not saying it’ll bomb, just that I doubt we’ll see Skyrim sales numbers, I think a multiplat release is needed for that to happen.
Player numbers should be high though going by past big releases. Found a website that said FH5 player count was 28mil (!)

Skyrim is 12 years old, has released on eevrything possible in those years, has had multiple different versions, and a couple of years ago hit around 40mil.

Of course Starfield isnt going to get those nuimbers. Its a new IP without a brand behind it, is only on 2 systems (3 if you could XSX and XSS as seperate), and is on Gamepass.

Like i said earlier in the thread, if 5 years from now Starfield has hit 20mil actual SALES (not player numbers)_, it will of done great.

Anyone saying otherwise is just talking bollocks for ulterior motives to be honest.

Yeah FH5 passed 28 million players some time ago, I think MS will be basing success on these sort of statistics rather than pure sales now Gamepass is over 25 million subs .

Obviously it will sell millions on Steam and they will if they have any sense release an upgrade option for Gamepass owners like they did for FH5 for early access and DLC. That did really well for FH5.

Yeah they’ll be on Twitter posting the player count no doubt. It’s good PR. And yeah they should have a Deluxe Ultra Special Edition released a week or so earlier. Hopefully not just for GP users, I’ll be on Steam.

I'm not saying this to port beg (I have a PC to play this if I want to), but I really do expect to see Starfield on Sony systems in the next five years. Hell maybe Nintendo too, depending on what their next console is like.

I mean, at least we're not getting another Cyberpunk launch... Rather get a polished product.
Now you will remember that Cyberpunk had multiple delays including some right up to release.

Then they are tossers and not gamers. No openworld game, ships without bugs and anyone who games, knows this to be true

That’s definitely not in the same ball park as a creation engine open world game tho - and didn’t it have several (admittedly minor) issues on release?
They released a patch or two after the release, so I guess some people experienced tiny issues, but it is probably the most polished game I have played day1 in the recent years. Grounded 1.0 was also super polished.

That’s extremely unlikely to happy, not least for the fact that it sends a certain message ahead of ES6 release.
But we’ll see.

Weird seeing all the talk of Cyberpunk. Even launch Skyrim at its most buggy didn’t arrive as broken as that title.

How so? Something for the holidays?
There’s no way on earth they’ll canibalize their first party games that. Way. Forza is probably the only other game that will release this year if ABK closes. Because you’ll have forza cod and starfeild to close the year. Everything else will be pushed to next year which makes sense hold hb2 back for top of 2024.

Sure, if MS moves to make these games multiplatform, ES6 which is probably a 2029-2031 game at this point, will be part of that.

I don't think Starfield will be as buggy as Cyberpunk, I am just saying that a delay does not equal polish.

If this game releases in a buggy state, then I will question why Fallout 76 exists. Because I've always considered that game as a necessary sacrifice/learning lesson for them to improve their ways to navigate around that engine as much as possible.
