The Wii reigns supreme at $250 with a $199 360 out there.

I'd love to see it do the same thing with a $199 PS3 on the market. Just to end this argument.

Cost means little when you have what they want.

The Metroid Prime games are great, but they're not too accessible. They're not fun, multiplayer madness games like Mario Kart and Smash.

I think Nintendo had a chance or at least tried to get a FPS going with the Goldeneye to Perfect Dark transition, but then things with Rareware went south and there that went. but it does appear that at one point they tried to get some position in that genre.

And i dont know if that was you, but i loved how someone in here wrote, that basically motion-controls will be great as soon as they´re not from Nintendo. Looking forward to nextgen where everyone suddenly likes what the Wii did 5 years prior.

This is commonplace in console wars. Rumble was last gen and unneeded also before Sony put it back in the controllers. When motion finds its way into MS and Sony systems next gen you can bet your ass that all of the people swearing they would quit gaming if it happened or that are moaning about the Wiimote now will be on board waving their companies flag. It is what it is.

Also I'm just starting to realize how badly Banjo did.

It's not that exciting of a game? I'm not saying it's not that great. But I can see how it doesn't get the Wii crowd excited. Nintendo disrupted itself. They should have included a plastic anti-gravity machine with each game to get people excited. I would have bought two.

People keep mentioning Mario Galaxy in this thread like it was some sort of sales failure... but hasnt it sold like 3 or 4 million copies in the USA alone? Probably like 7 million worldwide?? (I can't remember exact numbers but I just remmeber being extremely impressed when I saw them) I think it's one of the absolute biggest games of this console generation actually.

LBP hasn't reached a million units in the biggest individual markets out there. Worldwide it may break even, I'm not really certain, however it hasn't sold well enough to see if a sequel will be necessary. LBP had a HUGE marketing campaign compared to the rare titles. Hans uses some broken logic indeed.

LBP hasn't warranted a sequel based on sales already? Seriously gtfo.

I was under the impression that total # 3rd party sales were bigger on Wii then PS3 and 360 last month (not combined). Per Nintendo PR.

Yes, it is close enough to a FPS to be counted.

That's more of a First Person Adventure with shooting elements.

And the day it becomes a full on shooter (hopefully never) is the day I quit the series. Unlike most traditional FPS you actually have to be mindful of where you are within the world.

Yes, Wii Music #11 was around 487k and #20 Shaun White was higher than 150k

We know Rock Band 2 Wii sold 150k in December and since that was not even in the Wii Top 10 it means everything else (Nerf N-Strike, Cod WaW Wii, and Shaun White) were all higher than 150k

- Then proceed to remark about the sales of said poor third party games? The argument is mainly that third parties can't compete on Wii, when the truth is that they don't compete on Wii. Afterall, said third party games aren't "worth buying".

This argument isn't expressed as much as it used to be, but it appears that the argument is that games which aren't "worth buying" should have been bought more.
