Nice. I'll be interested in your thoughts on Halo 4's campaign since you just did Halo 2 and Halo 3. I actually like 4 a lot but not everyone agrees.Halo 3 done, that felt a lot shorter than I remember. Gonna go straight to Halo 4, might go back to OSDT and Reach after if I feel like it.
I liked it when it first came out. I had my issues with it like the reduced enemy AI and smaller fight zones but I understand that was done to reach the level of visual fidelity on the 360. Also the game was made in like 2 years by a new studio so I really could't nitpick too much. I'll put my updated thoughts after I beat it.Nice. My PC is somewhat dated now and in a box on the floor lol. Otherwise I'd take you up on your offer. If anyone here wants to play the pc flight message me. First one gets a steam code.
Eh you don't need a 4k tv. Are you waiting for PC? Hang in there man.Man i'm getting halo cravings sooo baaad man need a fix. No console no 4k tv
This is a cool video posted on gaming side:
Halo Reach PC Insider Flighting Beta Phase has been launched, official 4K/60fps video showcase released
Microsoft and 343 Industries have announced that the first insider flighting beta phase for the first Halo game that will be released on the PC via the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo Reach, has been launched. In order to celebrate this announcement, the teams have also released a new...www.neogaf.com

Well once it does come you will be ready to roll in style!I'm a filthy graphics whore alas my trusty dag 1 samsung 40" C580 served me well. Waiting for black friday 65" E9, Elite conroller 2 then i wait for infinate.
I don't think they have said anything about it yet. I hope 343 goes with the updated settings too. Go with what was popular and not start from scratch.Has 343 said what settings will they use for Reach MP?
Personally I really liked the Anniversary settings, which reduced reticle bloom, but not completely. The default settings were too random, but Zero Bloom was just insane.
Reach for the MCC can't come soon enough. I need it NOW.
TU settings will be the standard for MCC Social Matchmaking. This includes the core categories (Slayer, Flag & Bomb, Zone Control, and Asset Denial) and the secondary categories (SWAT, Snipers, and Action Sack). Grifball and Infection are the sorts of niche experiences with unique settings which we don’t want to clobber. We may experiment with TU Infection settings internally and in flights but Grifball settings will remain unchanged.
Outside of the more unified social experience, we currently plan to launch with two ranked playlists for Reach. The first is a ranked hardcore playlist with a format which will be familiar to fans of the existing H3 and H2C Hardcore playlists. Reach Hardcore will feature zero-bloom-no-sprint (ZBNS) settings across a collection of MLG V7 map and game variants. Our internal Pro Team is aiding us in locking down the final lineup here.
The other competitive playlist will be Invasion. Invasion was perhaps the most unique and defining mode for Reach and featured a delicate balance between Spartans and Elites. To preserve this balance, we will not be applying TU settings to Invasion. This playlist should scratch the itch for a ranked big team experience where teams must develop strategies around the unique objective and fireteam setup. As such, matchmaking will focus more on group size than individual player skill. Reach’s original Invasion playlist suffered from a lack of maps with only two at launch and a third (Breakpoint) gated by DLC ownership. To remedy this, the Invasion Slayer (and later Invasion Skirmish) modes were also included. These modes don’t fit into a competitive experience and have analogues better suited to the 8v8 player count in Social Games. We do not have plans to include Invasion Slayer/Skirmish in this playlist. All three core Invasion maps will hold equal weight with the forge variants adding additional map variety at a lower weight.
While matchmaking will focus on TU settings, both TU and vanilla variants will be built-in and selectable from the Custom Game lobby. Anniversary map and game variants will also be available to players.
Thanks for posting! Yeah Halo 4 was a good first effort for 343. It's definitely not perfect, but not terrible either. If you do replay anything else I'd wait for Reach or do ODST.Done Halo 4, I'll summarize my thoughts in pros and cons
Pro:
-Visuals are insane for a 360 game, set pieces are amazing and the art direction is really good so the game will age very well visually.
-The new gun sounds are really good.
-I enjoyed the vehicle sections like the pelican and mantis and that star fox level were very good.
Cons:
-I don't like the covenant resigns.
-The story on its own isn't bad if it was a send off for cortana so I wouldn't have to see her again, but Halo 5 basically makes the entire story irrelevant.
-The ammo the guns can hold is way too low.
-Watchers are not fun to fight.
-The ending isn't really that satisfying from a gameplay perspective.
I don't want to nitpick too much since this was a game that was put together in two years from a new studio so I'll leave some stuff out. Overall a good effort for their first game.
Not sure if I'll end my Halo marathon there or go back and play ODST/Reach or play Halo 5. I didn't enjoy Halo 5 my first playthrough, the only reason I'd play it again is because its the only Halo game I haven't beat on legendary.

Opinions are all over the place You should definitely come back once Reach is out on PC. Reach is not my favorite Halo game, personally, but still some fun to be had. I'm going to replay the campaign for sure. I didn't like it the first time I played it, so now is a chance to give it a second chance.I used to play Halo CE a lot when I was younger, I didn't know they made the second game available on PC aswell, guess I just missed it. The series just kind of stopped being relevant around here so I didn't even know the series became an Xbox exclusive, but I remember reading several comments, headlines.....etc about the series dropping in quality after Halo 3 or Reach.
Not sure how true those claims were since I haven't been keeping up with the Halo series, but I will gladly get back to it once it comes back to PC.
Yeah TMCC has come a long way from its original release. I play HCE social slayer almost exclusively and love it. I'm not sure how big the population is for that playlist but i still find games even in the middle of the night.Been playing some MCC multiplayer recently, was actually able to find matches pretty easily! Mostly US West (I'm in Australia), but netcode isn't too bad and Halo's longer TTK means a higher ping is still bearable. Hopefully the PC version and next-gen consoles can breath some further life back into it -- MCC is really the Xbox ecosystem's killer app
I had the same opinion about the campaign, gonna play through it again too, but I never agreed with the huge praise it got.Opinions are all over the place You should definitely come back once Reach is out on PC. Today might be the day fellas!
Reach to PC is listed to release on December 3rd, but it may release on the Xbox One today :O

BC version emullates the Xbox 360 version of the game which can be a mess at times and produce slow downs while running at a max of 4K30fps. The MCC version is reworked for the Xbox One and PC to run flawlessly as well as make it 4K60fps. Also the Multiplayer will get incorporated into the mass of the games. Also, MCC allows you to hop into matchmaking and play Halo Reach - Halo 4 using dedicated servers. BC Halo Reach only allows BC Halo Reach P2P matchmaking.Whats the difference between the BC version of Reach and the MCC version? If I was going to replay it I was just gonna use the BC version.
Never dodge towards shield hand.Holy shit what the fuck are the hunters in Halo 5?! You have next to no time to dodge their attacks like you do in every other Halo and you just instantly die. I come up behind one and he backhands me in a split second with zero time to react This has got to be the worst designed enemy in any Halo game.
You literally can't dodge it unless you start dodging before he starts his animation its the most broken thing ever. The animation is like 10X faster than it is in any other Halo game.Never dodge towards shield hand.
Are you going after the Worms Don’t Surf Achievement-Knock two Hunters into the ocean during the Battle of Sunaion? . Man, that achievement is a pain to get. I tried for about an hour or so one day and then just gave up.Holy shit what the fuck are the hunters in Halo 5?! You have next to no time to dodge their attacks like you do in every other Halo and you just instantly die. I come up behind one and he backhands me in a split second with zero time to react This has got to be the worst designed enemy in any Halo game.

When I saw them for the second time in that mission I was about to turn the game off, but luckily I had a fuel cannon to deal with them. The Hunter encounter on the level Blue Team in H5 on Legendary is retarded. It is one of the the most frustratingly difficult sequences I’ve ever played in a Halo game and it’s compounded x10 by your terrible friendly AI.
I've thought about this too. I suspect that 343 would put a beta out for both pc and console, or at least console at a minimum. But so far we have heard zippo on the subject. I was hoping for a Christmas beta but obviously that isn't happening and we probably won't hear squat until long after Reach has been released in December. Consider me bummed. Also i been thinking if infinite is launching woth scarlett is there not gonna be a beta ??
and if there is on what platform ?
Maybe. When is that?Maybe some news at The Video Game Awards?
Maybe. When is that?
Nice work getting through the campaign! Sorry to hear about the achievements glitching out on you because that blows. You've done well. Only a couple more weeks and then we get Reach. Regarding ODST I think it is one of the easier games to play on Legendary. But its definitely a better game than Halo 5.Started ODST on legendary, I never realized this but immediately its insane how much more viable a run and gun approach is in Bungie's games on legendary than 343's. Halo 5 on legendary basically boiled down to grab a long range gun and get to cover, I can actually run around again!
