I've been collecting furniture recipes since homestead launched on PC but haven't purchased a big ticket house yet. I'm not sure how much I even want to anymore. I've saved up nearly a million gold but I've starting to see through the transparent gold-sinky nature of the housing and I'm starting to think my gold would better be served maxing out my bank slots because I horde the hell out of crafting mats and don't currently have ESO+

I just have the 3 starting inns currently. My plan is to loot as many recipes and paintings as possible and then buy a medium home somewhere in Vvardenfell when the expansion hits.
You really shouldn't be spending any gold while leveling up. Never repair armor as you're constantly upgrading. Don't buy anything from vendors. Just sell all the white weapons and armor and deconstruct any greens or blues you don't need for crafting XP and mats. If you don't care about crafting or really need gold in a pinch you can sell them instead of deconstructing. Stealing and selling to fences is definitely a great way to earn gold. Crafting writs is another way.
If you get lucky during looting you might come across rare furniture, paintings, or the Imperial motif which can be sold for good money, too.

Yeah, at max they pay out I think 664 gold per turn in and you sometimes get gold mats which you can sell, too.
There's no reason to worry about saving money for now. Upgrading your bag and bank slots is permanent and always useful, so that's the best thing you can be spending cash on right now but it's not important enough to go out of your way to farm for it.
For now you only need to focus on leveling until you get to 50cp160. After you hit the gear cap you can start doing XP/gold farming in public dungeons while also farming rare and valuable drops off the bosses. That's what I do now and I can pull out 25-50k an hour or so just from looting and selling junk drops, not even counting the good loot I've pulled out of there (I got my 3rd Sharpened Spinner's destro staff yesterday and those sell for ~125k).

The Morrowind chapter comes with the base game and Morrowind.
There is a 5,500 Crowns purchase in-game that will get you all four of the main post-release DLC packs. The only thing it won't get you are a couple of very small dungeon DLCs, which you can either buy for a little more or just straight up ignore, frankly. They're stand-alone things that only unlock a couple pieces of 4-player content.
I did! I went with Quondam Indorilia, right on the edge of Mournhold, perfect for my Dark Elf. It was a hard decision, because I really like Domus Phrasticus in Craglorn too.
Domus was the one I was going to get.. but there is some bug with it that, even fully furnished with placed lighting, it's super dark. Even darker than the Thieves Den in Abah's Landing. Gonna wait until they fix it before I drop gold or crowns on it.
Did you buy Quondam with in game gold or crowns? Furnished or empty?

Crowns. I'm an eso plus subscriber, so I had plenty banked. Got it unfurnished, so I can pull up on my bootstraps and furnish it the old fashioned way. Now that I see what it takes to furnish it, I kinda wish i got it furnished when I purchased it, because so far the only thing I crafted is a filthy bedroll that may or may not contain fleas.
That's good to know about the Domus.

The craft bag alone is worth the 15 bucks a month. I didn't think I would need that much more room but I was wrong. Just hit 50cp160 and I have hundreds of things in my bag. Plus, you get 1500 crowns a month and access to all DLC. It's a really good deal.
Plus the people you meet online can be really cool. I was running around Ghratwood spamming public chat for a crafter to make me some armor now that I hit the cap and these guys invited me to their guild and one of them made me the following...for free:
Purple set of Twice Born Star (all body gear), a Torugs Pact destruction staff, Torugs healing staff, 3 Willpower jewelry pieces and gave me 50 purple witches brews. On top of that, they answered so many questions I have had about this and that and I now feel I have a solid understanding of end game, how groups and PVP works and whatnot. Really helped me out and not one asked for a piece of gold.
I'm half tempted to call in sick to work tom so I can wake up and play my toon with all my new gear and stuff lol
Biggest tip I learned was I had the wrong view set. I was playing in 1st person herp derp. 3rd person with camera back as far as it goes is the way to do it. I felt like and idiot.

Really? Why so? I have played all the TES games in 1st person. What makes this one better in third?
There are a lot of battles where you need to see the entire field - what's going on, the aoe hit cones/circles, etc - that isn't really view-able in first person. First person is great for one on one battles or exploring but once the game gets into traditional MMO-style battles, it's kinda difficult, IMO.

That does make sense. I have noticed that I occasionally have no idea what is going on when shit gets crazy. I will have try out 3rd person more often.
Dang, you did all three factions' zones? That must have taken a while.
Honestly I'd just ride it out until Morrowind. Like, you get the big chunk of "enlightened" XP per day, and then you can pair that with the daily random dungeon bonus,and you just get a shitload each day that is so much more efficient than any other XP you'll get the rest of that game session. So long as you do that each day I wouldn't even worry about grinding more.

I still need to do most of the group content, though. I should try and solo some public and normal dungeons and see if I can hang.
If you're already that high CP you'll curb stomp normal and public dungeons for the most part. Like I solo public dungeons while leveling, they're not that hard they just have more mobs per pull than a delve really, and the bosses are a little bit harder.
Generally people are doing veteran dungeons around your CP level, but I highly recommend doing the normal ones first. There is a skill point to be earned in every single dungeon and public dungeon IIRC, and you will want to learn some of the fight mechanics in normal mode (plus farm some gear if anything in there is good for your class, like maybe Burning Spellweave from City of Ash or something).

Yeah, I'll probably start doing that rather than mindlessly farming Skyreach or something.
Also, if you're not opposed to it, try out some experience scrolls. I've only done one factions quests (plus all the DLC) and am at about 250CP, so I expect if I keep the exp boost going, I should be close to maxed out by the time I do the other two factions.

Need some advice, I'm playing this with a friend and when we're in a group can we both do solo parts of quests or can only the group leader do solo quests?
It should be instanced to your character, even when grouped, so that each of you can do your quests on your own.

Quick question hopefully someone can answer for me. Was browsing Groupon and saw this on sale for 5$ so I snagged it and they sent me the Spanish version. I am in the US on a US account. Will I be able to play this? And will my wife and I be able to play off the same disc as long as it's one at a time?

Yeah, I was dumb when I was leveling the zones because the entire time I didn't have a full set of training armor on and I never used XP boosts. Oh well, I've taken a break from the game anyway. I'll definitely be back for Morrowind.

It's kind of default MMO advice but I would pick the race/class spec you want and not worry about the bonuses. It all levels out in the end. Sure there are some slight advantages but nothing beats liking the race style you selected. Who wants to level a Khajit if you hate the model?
That being said, there is a race change token for sale if you end up hating your choice.

I just pulled the trigger and got the Gold Edition for PS4. While it is downloading, is there a NeoGAF guild? Or what faction does GAF play as?
A lot of Gaffers play but sadly we have no active guild. Last I checked it was pretty dead and I ended up leaving to make room on my list for another trading guild.
