Showing off games was only part of the reason for E3 (really a small part). These companies would meeting and talk and make big deals and commitments to each other. Now they have to trust each other with face to face Zoom calls. Opps forgot the most important thing E3 did, the booze would flow and parties were wild.

Amazingly enough, the latest supercarrier was $13 billion to build. Microsoft is trying to buy ABK for the cost to build 5 Ford-class carriers. They literally have enough money to build their own navy and fight the UK.

How many interviews has Jim Ryan given since taking the job? The only thing I remember him saying was "Let the games do the talking." But that was part of a state of play. The only public discussion I can find dates back to 2021.

I legit think Jim has a gagging order from sony since those emails came out about cats and dogs....

Phil Spencer has been making public comments like this for a while now though. Previously he said Call of Duty would be on PlayStation as long as PlayStation exists. But the deal being offered was 10 years. So instead of talking about it, submit that deal formally to the CMA and release it publicly unredacted.

Lol, they can't have the documents unredacted becuase then it shows everyone what their deal is.....that wouldn't make any business sense at all. So nvidia or whoever else can just say...we want the exact same deal as Sony...what you quoted us isn't as good....makes sense.

He's held up 70 billion dollars for which they've received no return on investment for over a year. At 6 minimum % ROI, you'd want to be at 74 billion... add in the 3 billion lost to Activision and that's -7 billion dollars...

That combined with the failures I've mentioned around 343, Coalition, and Bethesda, and the failure to procure Xbox production for this year... These are SIGNIFICANT failures for a leader and long term failures at that... that's years of failure.

Yet xbox is making the most revenue and seeing the biggest growth in its over 20 years of existence.....poor MS and Phil....such a terrible job.

Have the games delivered? No, not yet.

Gamepass has been huge. Game streaming is the right move for the future. Bethesda was brilliant. XSS was a smart idea. I just can't see them being anything less than encouraged.
