This is semantics, and nothing more
Dude, you quoted congressional record 103rd, get the fuck out of here. What I posted was congressional record H1303.

For the amusement of others reading this thread, note that cobragt4001's link includes an image of the pertinent page from the Congressional Record in GIF format at the bottom of the webpage:

(A link to the above image is also included in the text "Congressional Record" at the top of the page.)

Please never become a link to porn.

My family immigrated to this landmass around 1530, long before the US nation and/or government existed. So they were the original United States of Americans. I'm American. Deal.

Here is the H1303 transcript from gpo.gov: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/CREC-1998-03-19/pdf/CREC-1998-03-19-pt1-PgH1303-6.pdf

If you would mind finding where you found that speech from the Representative in here, which I could not, I would greatly appreciate it. Every other site I found was a blatant conspiracy site, so no other record is official as this one.

I'll find the specific volume. Be right back.

Well, I can't find a PDF from 1993 without ripping a hole in the space-time continuum, so you'll just have to settle for a link:

http://thomas.loc.gov/home/LegislativeData.php?&n=Record&c=103 (the Congress convening between January 3, 1993 and January 3, 1995)

Enter "Bankruptcy"
Click "Traficant, James A., Jr. (OH-17)"
Click "From" under Date Received or Session, enter 03/15/1993 through 03/20/1993
Click "search"
Click "Mr. TRAFICANT"

Tell us what you see.

Doesn't count unless your family was making Clovis arrowheads at some point.

You are Brazilian unless you apply and get a citizenship in another country.

Edit: I mean Technically speaking, I'm sorry if I sound like a douche.

I did become a Portuguese citizen, mainly because travelling as a EU citizen is far easier (and cheaper). So now I have both Brazlian and Portuguese passports, but according to OP I'm Spanish. Go figure.

OP are you going to acknowledge that the evidence you claim comes from the congressional record and supports your claim was actually fabricated and doesn't actually exist?

When I type in "Congressional record Volume 33 page h-1303" I get the same old conspiracy site you quoted from and a plethora of similar ones. At this point, I'm not sure if it even exists. Could anyone verify if that is even the correct form of literary storage (Volume #, lettered chapters, etc.) of Congressional records?

Thanks ebay Huckster. Very much appreciated.

You can search for the records as well, I've already posted the specific volume and page.

The hell of it is this: even if the OP is right about nationality, the legal entities of the world do not subscribe to this theory for the purposes of immigration or travel or anything else really. This renders the entire supposition worthless in terms of real-world implementation, and a waste of everyone’s – including the OP’s -- time as anything other than a thought experiment.

The guy I replied to has no base at all for his claim so that link is my counter argument. And what's my claim exactly?

The base of my claim is a complete lack of genetic evidence supporting the "American aboriginals looked like blacks" statement you made. Direct descendants of most of those tribes still exist. The fact that some people suggest that some native art could pass for other races does not prove that those races existed in the Americas pre-1492. You are basically using the "all anime characters are white" argument.

So yes if you’re a US citizen you are an American. It’s convenient shorthand. Like a citizen form The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland referring to themselves as simply “British.” If a given individual chooses to identify as such however is their own affair.

That's actually a fairly bad example as there are weird ethnic issues with that. Most of the northern Irish that are ethnically British traditionally would be loath to associate themselves with being Irish.

So you're fine ignoring obvious phenotypes that can help determine a person's race or ethnicity, got ya.

You're not quoting my statement, you quoted me but that's someone else who made the statement.

Y'know what? As long as the OP keeps ignoring the debunking of a basic tenet of his arguments ITT I'm just gonna quote these two posts

Volume 33 of the Congressional Record corresponds to the second session of the 15th Congress.

For comparison, Traficant was a member of the House from the beginning of the 99th Congress until four months before the end of the 107th, corresponding to Volumes 131 through 148, and the alleged quote would be recorded in Volume 139.

OP has one point in this whole mess and that is that "America" is not a country even though it's often use as shorthand for the USA, and many other countries use the word to denote the US.

That said, in the English language, "American" is the adjective form for something pertaining to the US, and the noun form to indicate someone who is a US Citizen. Yes there is a difference between ethnicity and nationality, but ethnicities are just blends and melds anyway, and like language they change over time and are temporary by nature.

OP, you need to shit or get off the pot. Stop asking "intriguing" questions and dancing around semantics and nonsensical, fabricated documents and say what you mean. Are you implying that there is no such thing as the United States? That Native Americans and black people are the same? That words can't have differing meanings and nuances brought about due to changes in cultural mores or lingual shift?

And by God, if you respond to me by asking another nonsensical question...

The receivers of the United States Bankruptcy are the International Bankers, via the United Nations, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. All United States Offices, Officials, and Departments are now operating within a de facto status in name only under Emergency War Powers. With the Constitutional Republican form of Government now dissolved, the receivers of the Bankruptcy have adopted a new form of government for the United States. This new form of government is known as a Democracy, being an established Socialist/Communist order under a new governor for America. This act was instituted and established by transferring and/or placing the Office of the Secretary of Treasury to that of the Governor of the International Monetary Fund. Public Law 94-564, page 8, Section H.R. 13955 reads in part: "The U.S. Secretary of Treasury receives no compensation for representing the United States?’
