Man, the 1/100 Gusion is 5k JPY? That's an expensive NG 1/100. That suit must be bigger than I imagined, but don't all these IBO 1/100s use the same inner frame? How much larger could it be?

We already knew it was a Webshop exclusive, so I can't say I wasn't prepared. This is actually the kind of thing that should absolutely be in the Premium Shop as it's a limited run accessory that doesn't define the suit and many people will ignore. Price isn't too bad considering what it is. Will absolutely be ordering this. Happy we're getting both blue and pink wings as well. Now, bring on the Assault and Buster packs Bandai!

With my luck, the AB packs won't be offered separately and I'll have to by the V2 all over again.

Edit:
Didn't realize it was up to order already! And done. Ended up being $40 EMS shipped at N-Y. Can't say I'm too happy, but it's for the V2 so it is what it is. Love that design too much to not order.

Well, if you're who I think you are there, when you started off with "Dubbed Gundam, what year is this?", people might have taken that the wrong way. It IS Facebook, after all.

But yeah I hate the Zeta dub too.
I'm exactly who you think I am. Not my fault they haven't brought over a full series since 00. I hated the Zeta dub. Watched it once years ago and it made me not like Zeta too much. Watched it again subbed and it became one of my favorite Gundam shows.

What is it about Crossbone Gundam that you all like so much? I have been reading through it recently. I'm currently in the Steel 7 books and this series really hasn't been grabbing me. The art is not good. All the characters look way too young and samey. Seabook in Crossbone looks nothing like Seabook in F91. The characters are also very one-dimensional. Tobia and the supporting characters and villains are just cookie-cutter characters cut straight from shonen tropes. The actual mech design is alright, but I feel like they lean on the pirate imagery way too much.

We're talking about the main story and not the spin-off stuff. I guess it's because we like it? It's from the early 90s, Tobia's a boss, it expands on F-91 (it deserved more than a movie), etc.

The main story was definitely the best part of it and I agree F-91 deserved more than what it got. Crossbone had potential, but the only thing I liked was seeing more of Seabook and Cecily, but I didn't feel like Crossbone did them justice.

Edit: Is Crossbone the only UC media that shows that cybernetics are a thing? Seabook getting the cybernetic arm felt really strange to me.

I'm trying to think of something but I am drawing blanks. But in a franchise with advanced robotics and human cloning, it never felt off to me.

That's true. I guess the artificial/cyber newtypes also imply some amount of it as well on at least a neural level. We just never saw someone with an external cybernetic enhancement until Seabook in Crossbone. Also, I can't tell if Seabook's alias in Crossbone is supposed to actually be Kincado or that people have just been using the Japanese pronunciation of Kincaid.

OK guys, long story short: I lost one of those holographic pieces from my rg exia. Where can I find replacements parts for it? I need to import it :(

I'm really feeling bad. It's like I just wasted money.

I honestly think if Zeta had an Ocean(?) dub it would have been so much better.

It's jarring when you're watching the series and Amuro and Char have different dub voices than 0079/CCA

When I think of Amuro I think of Brad Swaile's voice. Most of the dub of 0079 is pretty stilted or flat, but I've always thought Swaile and Michael Kopsa did a very good job as Amuro and Char. Bright's voice actor is also one of my favorite's just because it always sounds like he is yelling orders 100% of the time, even when it isn't appropriate.

My favorite Bright moment is voiced by Captain Falcon. I honestly wonder who they would've gotten for Kamille. Kamille needs the right balance so he doesn't annoy the audience, but at the same time still come off as a petulant teen. Same with Fa...hell most of the damn cast actually.

My biggest problem with it is that the actors just couldn't convey the drama properly. Whole thing just felt lifeless and Zeta is anything but a lifeless anime, minus the lack of a fucking cast towards the end.

Yeah between me and a friend, we got a whole spare RG kit. The parts we've salvaged from it include a leg, a shoulder, and an arm. I think the rest are still in the box. If you really need a replacement for the strip, I can ask him to check. Another thing you can try to do is to cut a strip replacement from the sheet itself. There might be enough!

If you're willing to use glue instead of trying to exactly match the latching mechanisms, it might be possible to salvage the strip from the excess sheet. I haven't looked at the RG Exia myself, but I definitely feel like the MG had enough extra that you could construct at least one new one.

Just finished Tallgeese II Mg.

Its of course just Talgeese EW but i love the color scheme, head and of course its piloted by Trieze.

Have it posed next to TG in the trade mark Treize pose on the box.

Probably finally going to build Zeta Z3 next.

that's awesome and inspiring

I haven't built gunpla in ages :(
my last 2 sets were MG Nu Ver Ka and MG Turn X, bought them when they were brand new, and I still haven't opened them smh

When your Gundam game is too strong... You know you dead.

Further proof that Bandai needs to keep releasing effect parts. They are universally the best thing. Hopefully we get a God Gundam 2.0 with the effect ring someday (Never going to happen :( )

A Question to you guys
So... I want to know if there is a place for me to buy the blu-ray or hard disc version of Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin (The first two OVA Episodes)

I went to a bunch of official places and Amazon but I can't find it... I only see the rent feature to stream it on-line for a fee

Even though I didn't watch them yet I would like to buy/own the actual physical copy in English

There isn't any official US distribution yet AFAIK. All your options are going to be importers. You aren't going to like the price because of that. RightStuf has them for like $99 each. Bandai is selling them themselves through Daisuke, but they only have Episode 1 in stock and 2 is sold out. The price is $95 there. You might be able to find a better price at some other import shops, but it likely will still be stupid expensive as that's just the way of Japanese Blu-Ray pricing.

The Japanese blu-ray has subs in multiple languages, including English, as well as the english dub and Japanese audio. It was this way for Unicorn as well. RightStuf eventually picked up rights for the DVDs, but Blu-Rays have remained Japan only since BandaiEnt US went under. I suspect Bandai Japan is very defensive about reverse importation.

Just import it. Episode 1 and Episode 2. These are exactly the same discs everywhere with English dubs, subtitles and the works. It's also available at TRSI (episode 1 and episode 2) but they only have the collector's editions which are considerably more expensive.

I think we will see both Zero and God 2.0/Ver Ka in the coming years.

In fact i think God 2.0 would be more likely then the suffle alliance

well the rumor say that the next RG will be God gundam. so it certainly possible
I really hope not.

ZZ has been missing in action for to long already and we now have leads from Wing, OO, SEED, 79, and Zeta.

Give me G Fortress damn it. Or at least Alex before God.

Is that Jesus Yamato fused with bits of every lead suit?

I see Strike Freedom and gold frame as base with Age FX feet, Nu Gundam leg, Double X Chest and Satellite system, Unicorn Gundam Awaken Psychoframe, ZZ Gundam head cannon, Trans Am GN Drives, and F91 Gundam shoulder fins.

Then it is equip with G-Self Perfect Pack, Hi-Nu Gundam funnels, Star Build Strike Universe Booster, God Gundam Hyper Mode, Turn A Gundam Gekkou Chou, and AGE FX Sword+Shield Bits.

Then weapons it has 00 QanT Full Saber + Sword Bits, Wing Zero Caledvwich cannons, Strike Freedom Railguns, Double X Rail guns, and F91 VSBR Cannons.

I don't think I'm missing anything. There's no Destiny in there so I assume just strongest suit from each anime series.

This is mostly what I see.

However I think your slightly wrong, the calf lower leg is the Zeta and not Nu. Also the forearms are that of God Gundam.

So pretty much the the single worst aspect of every lead Gundam crammed into one over designed op mess.

Interesting how the FpGundam fanbase has taken on the Drie Zewrg System for Wing Gundam and Wing Zero as pretty much full canon at this point.

My god it's the Frankenstein Gundam. Only thing missing is the giant head from Devil Gundam.

I've taken my first step into watching SEED Destiny. OPs and EDs are great and I'm actually pretty nostalgic for SEED. Shin might be the biggest POS Gundam protagonist out there. He's just an asshole who lacks empathy. I also wish the first episode wasn't just a repeat of the beginning of SEED. Why the hell is ZAFT developing Gundams anyway? I feel like there was a missed opportunity here. The protagonists of Destiny are on ZAFT this time around so it would have been cool if the protagonists were just using special/grunt ZAFT suits, fighting against new Federation Gundams then half way through the main characters could start getting Gundams of their own.

Really, I just want 08th MS team from the side of Zeon/ZAFT/whoever.

That's not exactly fair. Some of the best parts are in there too. The effects parts are of course all amazing. I think the G-Self Perfect Pack looks great in general and I love the design of the DX's chest and twin cannons. Some of the other stuff is crap, though. Personally don't dig the Drie Zewrg for instance.

It's called SEED Astray and Destiny Astray. Well not quite but close enough.

You're only at the beginning. You have no idea the true meaning of hating Shinn yet. He's like Kamille without the constant correction beat downs and being a decent person underneath the outbursts.

Finally got around to finishing Gundam X. It was alright, but the main conflict was kind of boring and the Frost brothers were odd as "rival" antagonists. Not sure where to move next. Was thinking SEED, but I don't really want to watch multiple Hirai shows at once. Maybe AGE?
