I like it purely for adding to the realism, it accentuates the audio/visual feedback of hitting a target.I hate gore. Really. I will never understood the fascinating from people to gore and blood.
Despite that RE4 remake looks awesome.
Also, looking at you TLOU 2.
Does it?I like it purely for adding to the realism
I mean it’s horror game about fighting infected, what exactly did you expect? It’s like you go watch Evil Dead movie and complain about having too much gore and blood.I hate gore. Really. I will never understood the fascinating from people to gore and blood.
Despite that RE4 remake looks awesome.
Also, looking at you TLOU 2.
Would it be more realistic shooting without seeing blood and marks on enemies?Does it?
I guess my reaction was "how realistic is Resident Evil?" And my answer to that is "not at all" so something "adding to the realism" of something by adding fairly cartoonish and unrealistic violence doesn't do much to increase the realism.Would it be more realistic shooting without seeing blood and marks on enemies?
You know the answer.
I mean, I was referring more to TLOU which has fairly realistic gore.Does it?
I hate gore. For RE4 the original or this remake, it doesn’t bother me as it looks video gamey to me. TLoU2 is a different story as that game is gore porn by design perfected from reference videos to a disturbingly realistic level that it is just… depressing.
Gotta say, the detailed gore gets a bit too much when the enemies look more lively than regular zombies. If it was optional I'd turn it off.
Hopefully this is an early build. Strange facial animations when Leon got killed. No head cut off.
Yeah, with an axe, right? Not chainsawThere is a brutal head cut off animation ( not in that video, facial is weak.
its a zombie game broI hate gore. Really. I will never understood the fascinating from people to gore and blood.
Despite that RE4 remake looks awesome.

No joke Sherlock.I mean it’s horror game about fighting infected, what exactly did you expect? It’s like you go watch Evil Dead movie and complain about having too much gore and blood.
If you hate blood and gore then you shouldn’t be playing games thats called Resident Evil.
Sure, but Residents Evil is specifically about you fighting against zombies, which involves blood and gore 100% of the time.Do you realize that horror movie can be scary without being gore ? (Like The Conjuring)
I don't know how old are you, but do you remember RE back in time on PS and even the remake on GameCube ?Sure, but Residents Evil is specifically about you fighting against zombies, which involves blood and gore 100% of the time.
I would say Fatal Frame is better choice for you if you want horror with less gore and blood.
I know bro, please check my others replies to understand better.its a zombie game bro
My bad, I thought it was a Pokemon spinoff, my life has been a lie.He thought its pepa pig style
I don't know how old are you, but do you remember RE back in time on PS and even the remake on GameCube ?
Gore was not really a thing,
No joke Sherlock.
Do you realize that horror movie can be scary without being gore ? (Like The Conjuring)
Horror have many faces, not only gore and blood, maybe try to open this narrow point of view.
Also, if you read better my message, I said "I will never understood the fascination from PEOPLE to gore and blood" (corrected the typo), and you will also notice that I wrote "I hate gore", not "I can't any play any game with gore".
But the thing it that back in time gore was not so realistic as today, so it was bearable, but the more tech evolve, the more the gore is extremely gore and precise.
That was only a random though, what exactly did you expect ?
Also, please don't tell me what games "I shouldn't play", I mean telling that because title contains "evil" it means that we should expect "gore and blood", that's... nevermind, I prefer to laugh about that.
It's just a fictional video gameDoes it?
Yes? When you smack someone with a baseball bat, do you expect them to ragdoll out of bounds, or their skulls to cave in? If you shoot someone, do you expect them to just flop over instantly or do you expect feedback from the shotguns pellets ripping and tearing through flesh and bone?Does it?
There is a brutal head cut off animation ( not in that video, facial is weak.
First kill un this video.
Love how you totally omitted the part from my post only to serve your purpose.
I don't know how old are you, but do you remember RE back in time on PS and even the remake on GameCube ?
Gore was not really a thing, we saw a splash of blood then zombies felt on the floor (with maybe some exceptions I don't remember).
*for you*The conjuring is a comedy. That film was as frightening as a tribble.
No, I didn't claimed that. I said gore was not really a thing. Also your claims that RE1 didn't have blood and gore? It had plenty of it.
That's my point. It was not a thing because of this.It just couldn't be rendered in as strong of detail due to the constraints of the hardware at the time.
Your strange aversion to this is more telling than peoples fascination with it.
For its time with limitation of PSOne, it was pretty gory game, so as the visuals gets better, the game naturally will have more realistic gore.Love how you totally omitted the part from my post only to serve your purpose.
OH.MY.TOAD.
This part from a CINEMATIC is so gore and realistic, I'm not sure I can't handle it.
Are we finished or still want to pretend you didn't get my point ?
Note:
I'm afraid you're not all considrring ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
OP,
I can take gore, but I don't care for it.
People who are actively into it are kinda worrying to me.
No problem, it's okay. Let's move on.For its time with limitation of PSOne, it was pretty gory game, so as the visuals gets better, the game naturally will have more realistic gore.
You are asking why people like gore and blood in their games because its thrilling and fun. You are free not to like them but if you are getting a game like Resident Evil or any game that has Zombies and infected you should expect gore.
If that sound "mean" to you I'm sorry I guess?
It doesn't feel like they've gone far enough on the Leon deaths, but other than that this is looking pretty freakin' sweet!Let's be fair..
Re4 is and will likely be the only goat to go super goat.
This is simply evolution of that status.
It doesn't feel like they've gone far enough on the Leon deaths, but other than that this is looking pretty freakin' sweet!
You can buy extra death animations
For a current gen game, the answer you're looking for 9 times out of 10 is lighting. How can this game look so outdated
I was kinda hoping leon would get chainsawed in 2.It doesn't feel like they've gone far enough on the Leon deaths, but other than that this is looking pretty freakin' sweet!
For a current gen game, the answer you're looking for 9 times out of 10 is lighting.
The original RE games had as much gore as the PSX would allow.I don't know how old are you, but do you remember RE back in time on PS and even the remake on GameCube ?
Gore was not really a thing, we saw a splash of blood then zoombies felt on the floor (with maybe some exceptions I don't remember).
Things are now so different and "too" detailed (that's only a opinion).
Will take a look at Fatal Frame, thanks for the hint.
I know bro, please check my others replies to understand better.
My bad, I thought it was a Pokemon spinoff, my life has been a lie.
I see your point. I guess what instantly stuck out to me in OP’s clip was the flat lighting in the interior sections. That’s an immediate tell in todays world that either the person isn’t playing on max settings, or the lighting isn’t where it needs to be for a realistic looking game.I actually dont think in this case its lighting, but low poly assets and animations, apart from the ragdolls introduced in RE2 remake, the animations look pretty much the same as RE5.
