I'd rather neither of them be on commentary to be completely honest. Renee has never done it for me, whether it was as a personality on The Score here in Canada or on NXT. Not a fan in the slightest.
Have you been watching? I think she’s doing a pretty good job. Didn’t know she did nxt before (been to house show but nevertheless watched it on tv), so I was kinda surprised how good she was thinking she was a newb to commentery.

Still don't like her. Something about her delivery just doesn't do it for me. It comes off as forced rather than it being her natural delivery.

It's probably because Vince is feeding her lines to say. You can hear a difference when she's just calling the action and when she's reciting someone else's words.

Renee Young might be good as a color commentator, but she needs to learn when to stop talking. And she has to be aware of the match as it's happening.

Brie Bella punted Liv Morgan in the face twice. And it was clearly evident the woman was severely hurt. Renee Young missed it entirely because she's talking about red carpets. She keeps yammering on until she's interrupted by Michael Cole. And then she continues her story while Brie Bella is stalling over the Liv's lifeless body and then dragging her to the corner. I don't know if she didn't understand or wasn't watching, and neither is acceptable.

Also, Brie Bella is awful and becoming increasingly unsafe/embarrassing. Issuing a non-apology to a woman she injured is despicable.

I was playing Yakuza 6 tonight and I'd forgotten a few of the New Japan guys are in the game

They even got Saki Akai from Tokyo Joshi Pro.

She's there as one of the hostesses.

Joey Janela is going to be out for at least a year due to his knee injury. That sucks.

NWA women's champion Jazz is going to kick some ass!

And Sid has watched Paige's porno. It made his wonky leg snap again...probably...

The Super Show-Down is now live on WWE Network. Can't wait to see Undertaker vs Triple H. That is the only match I interested about. I haven't really followed WWE much recently.

My god, I am trying to want to get back into watching WWE and the weekly (why is this a thing still?) 15 minute promo to start the show completely kills my interest in watching the rest of the show. I'm so sick of the Shield/Braun and Co. storyline at this point. Every angle overstays its welcome and they do not have the writers/producers? to set up long term angles. Just bunch up the same 6 guys into matches every week for 3 months however can you get bored of that?

Ugh why do they insist on letting Ronda speak...she’s all time bad in the speaking department

The Alexa/Mickey/Lita/Trish segment was even worse than Ronda/Nikki.

That's like comparing rotten apples to rotten oranges I think. Not sure what was going on with that tag promo, Bliss is usually great on the mic but when you're playing off of Lita and Trish who are just there to promote EVOLUTION FIRST TIME EVER OMG and their cardboard promo deliveries and PRACTICE I don't know what to expect. That PPV is going to be a failure across the board

Here's Ilja Dragunov vs. Bobby Gunns from wXw Germany. The crowd chants for the whole match. It's nuts.

Gunns! Bobby Gunns! Ilja!

I've been meaning to check this out. I'd heard someone say the crowd actually ends up detracting from the match because since they are chanting throughout the match nothing actually in the match gets a specific reaction so it's harder for moments to stand out.

The chanting does take some of the focus off the match and certain spots but in the end it doesn't matter because it's the chanting that makes the match memorable.

Billy Jack Haynes is still a bit goofy.

Here are some highlights from a shoot he did a decade ago for those that might have seen it.

I wasn't expecting much but Evolution ended up being a very good show. One of the better PPVs WWE has had for a while.

I know it’s terrible, but I am actually excited for raw for the first time in forever. Having to refocus the show to not revolve around Roman could be so good for the main event scene if they allow it to grow.

Yeah it's going to make things a bit fresher.

Pac has been busy in his time off. Doing sudoku and crosswords from the looks of it.

And at the other end of the spectrum...

Sad about Becky, couldn’t be happier after main event tonight!
DBry winning the title is great. An amazing comeback when it looked like his in-ring career was over.

The only bad news is that it looks like they are building to Bryan vs Shane at WM.

-- UFC star Paige VanZant has teased her legion of fans with a potential blockbuster move to the WWE.

The under fire flyweight star has admitted she already has one eye on a move to the wrestling entertainment promotion following former bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey’s highly-publicised move to the WWE last year.

The American fighter revealed her WWE-link to MMA Weekly, after admitting a recent meeting with WWE queen and chief branding officer Stephanie McMahon left her believing a career in the WWE would be a real option for her.

I’m probably way off,but weren’t there talks of doing a shakeup twice a year? What if they took the belt off of AJ so that they can potentially move him to raw since Roman is gone and they know AJ can carry a show? Just a crazy thought, cause he’s gone through everybody else on SD already

It's possible, although I don't remember anything about there being 2 roster shakeups a year. They probably just felt it was time for a change and Bryan turning heel was a good way to do it.

In other news, a former WCW champion is finally making his return:

I think Nia has injured every WWE Horsewoman now, watch out Ronda she'll be after the MMA Horsewomen next

I can’t remember, was it Nia or Ronda that hurt my goddess Alexa? Cause I can never forgive them for that...

Dthomp

Might have been both, she has had a few concussions in succession

I think you're right. I think Nia was just an injury where the injury+concussion was Ronda, which is a shame because she will never be held accountable for her injuries caused, even though she'll be around for a year of two where Alexa barring injury is way more likely to be there longer. I hate unsafe workers being allowed to be active, that's why NXT exists. There is a reason the other MMA chicks were sent there, but gotta chase that MMA $$$ for Vince.

Arquette (understandably) freaked out once he cut his neck. Putting a guy with such little experience and training in that position was a bad idea.

All Elite Wrestling trademarks filed indicate new promotion owned by Jacksonville Jaguars

All Elite Wrestling, LLC has filed several trademarks in the past week or so and the trademarks certainly give more credibility to the rumored wrestling promotion headed by Tony Khan, the co-owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars. For those of you that have not kept up with this story, the rumor is that Jim Ross, Chris Jericho, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, Marty Scurll, Hangman Page and Kenny Omega would be part of the company.

The following trademarks were filed within the last week by All Elite Wrestling, LLC:

– AEW Double Or Nothing
– AEW All Out
– AEW
– Tuesday Night Dynamite
– ALL OUT
– Double Or Nothing
– All Elite Wrestling

Double Or Nothing is the rumored name for the next All In pay-per-view. The idea is to run the show in Las Vegas, NV. There’s been talk of All In 3 happening on Labor Day. Tuesday Night Dynamite could be a sign that they have a weekly TV deal lined up.

According to the trademark filings, All Elite Wrestling, LLC is based out of Jacksonville, FL. That would also align with the rumors about the Khan family being involved.

All Elite Wrestling, LLC is registered to an address at 1 TIAA Bank Field Drive in Jacksonville. That address just happens to be the address of the stadium for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The stadium is owned by Shad Khan.

Jericho has issued a denial but it’s Jericho and you will never get him to confirm a story like this unless he is legally able to and with approval from the owner.

Jim Ross basically gave a semi-denial on his podcast and The Elite has stayed quiet about the rumors. If everything goes as planned, WWE could have a major wrestling company against them. It would be the first major competition for them since WCW died in 2001.

I don't really like the name at all or the look of those logos. Tuesday Night Dynamite sounds silly but the day would make sense since Smackdown is moving to Friday.

I'm still not convinced this will pan out.

Should be fun to see it take off. I love what they're doing and the Jaguars owner is rich as fuck.

Never made sense that these guys would follow up everything they've been doing to just pack up and join the WWE.

I'm slightly interested, but always gotta worry about a company that has so much input by guys in the company. How many main event talents can they bring in? Cause Kenny is a legit #1 but can he carry a company of B- guys? Believe me I don't want them in the WWE but it's not an easy task to get a promotion off the ground. Hope there is a chance for success, but I feel like things like this always fall through.

This is all news to me, but really, really great news! I, personally, can not wait for a promotion to provide legit competition to WWE. WCW nitro was the only reason WWE became watchable, in my opinion. Would love to get back in wrestling again as right now I only really watch NJPW’s big events.

The ideal situation is that this company can get off the ground and have the type of leadership that leads to a successful TV show. In a perfect world they get something going (with Jericho and JR involved like rumored), and HHH takes over control of main roster shows (NXT is great, MAYBE he can do it on weekly live shows). Cause as of now it's still really hard to enjoy WWE main roster shows with the way they play out right now. Competition is great for business, but it needs to be a company willing to spend and try to make watching every week a priority the way WCW did it in the 90s, but at the same time not giving away your PPV matches every week in the ratings chase. Anything that isn't the WWE 50/50 booking is good for all of us.
