Any particular reason Minecraft got bumped?
Did the physical version come out in June?

Er, why are MS discounting handheld game sales in their PR?
Deadpool at number 8 also makes me very happy. Good to see it wasn't ignored or relegated to bomba status.
So the Wii version of DKCR sold at least 7k copies in June?
Because PR's purpose is to make a company look good (same reason why Nintendo ignores Wii U)
Numbers must be pretty low for AC to be @2
Christ. Guess some quicky Animal Crossing U is a lock soon enough?
Man, Minecraft really is the new The Sims. Mass market audience that never seems to go away.
With combined, Nintendo means retail + digital.
Woah @ Luigi's Mansion 2 at 750,000 units, and doing 115,000 in its fourth month O_O
I think that even with a price drop nintendo can make 100 billion yen just off the 3DS which is about to explode

Yes, but DKCR 3D sold less units than LM2 but is higher up on the NPD chart. Which seems to me to indicate that the Wii version actually sold over 7k copies, probably over 10k since it was #7 compared to Luigi's 10

So that means AC:NL did ~404K>= retail.
Oh, I thought it was always available.
The Last of Us was the top selling game at retail in the month of June. To put this in context, it had the second highest first-month sales of a PS3 first-party game, after God of War 3 in March 2010. The Last of Us was also the third highest game to launch during the month of June since NPD began tracking sales in 1995.
Nah. It means the download total of LM2 pushed it's monthly total over Donkey Kong for June.
Luigi could have sold more digitally.
Ha, vindicated!
Thought I'd check out June 2007....
Playstation 3 -- 98.5k
Xbox 360 -- 198.4k
Wii -- 381.8k
DS -- 561.9k
PSP -- 290.1k
So, 852k for handhelds back then, 225 + Vita (15k?) now.
Man.
can someone post these twitter convos as a pic so mr.arthur gies gets proper credit...!!

This depends a lot on what 3DS margins are.
The 3DS is also not exactly the DS as SmokyDave illustrated above.
This makes absolutely no sense. Well done.

Luigi could have sold more digitally. Nintendo combines retail and digital in their numbers.

I meant software not just hardware. Nintendo has a packed lineup
Man the handheld market has really shrunk.
Wow at Animal Crossing. Good job, Nintendo, but I will never understand why that game is so popular.
