Good hold for MH4 and the N3DS.

Youkai Watch 2's drop is surprising, but I guess people are just going to wait for the expanded version now.

It needs to sell 23 757 units/week to reach 3m before the end of the year.
Roughly 30k/ week to do so before YW2.5.

Wii U about to break some records until the bundles are released (Nov. 13).

In other news, the 3DS has sold over 2m in 2014 alone, yay!

Sad to see no real bump for PS4. XB1, I don't really know what to say, but man, 360 sold gangbusters compared to this thing.

Seems Mario Kart will fall just short of reaching 700k before the bundles drop. The New 3DS seems to be doing really well. I have no idea how the Wii U will do this holiday. It seems like Smash should make it have a better holiday than last year, but it also could not do that great at all.

It's a half-assed porting of a mobile game. It outsold the first week of Innocence R and Hearts R on PSV according to Famitsu.

Not a real Tales game. Merely a spin-off or "Escort" title.
When Zesteria comes out, the sales will be high.

Not promising that ps3 and ps4 sales for psycho break are statistically indistinguishable.

I also see that the publisher expected quite higher numbers for the PS4 edition with only 40-60% of initial shipment sold.

Chaos rings... what a failure.

Because of this, I'm actually surprised to see negative comments about its sales (the guy who said they should go PS-only with the series in the old thread for instance), considering it outsold the remakes on Vita, even though this is just a port of a spin-off...

Even if it was a baseline, it'd be an awful baseline. But there was a game release, so it's probably not a baseline. I don't really know why there's a tendency to prematurely ascribe the term baseline.

It looks like the Evil Within did really well in both Japan and Europe. Really happy with that. Hopefully this means we can get another Mikami horror entry/ a sequel. Preferably not on ID tech 5.

Tales should probably just stick to PlayStation consoles with ports/spinoffs to Nintendo handhelds at this point. Namco had a really good opportunity to transition to handhelds full stop with PSP but they blew it.

Jesus Christ. By far Wii U's worst week and a number that not even PS4/PSV have ever hit. Even PS3 took almost 8 years to do numbers worse than this and it was only for 1 week!

And mobile port 3DS Tales game outsold the two Vita Tales games...

The over time the variation seems to hover around 8k.

I will do a proper time-series analysis when I have the time to predict it's sales pattern in the coming weeks. Will probably be a depressing result.

Unitia sold ok, but we all know ok is not enough. It will probably be the last Tales of game for the 3DS.

But then again, Abyss 3DS was a success (not just in Japan, but worldwide!) and all we got was a reductive Japan exclusive mobile port.

Whenever Namco feels like developing a new mainline game, it will be for a Sony home console, so it's not like we are missing much.

Very outdated, Abyss 3DS is over 150k in Japan.

Would have much prefered the Vita games myself tbh, although Tales of Abyss did great for a port.

Very outdated, Abyss 3DS is over 150k in Japan.

Its already near Tales of Innocence R total sales.

:/ i want more tales of on 3DS but not this shitty spinoff:(

Last generation there was somethin between mainline entries and cheap spin-offs; that is, mid-sized production budget spin-offs, or sequels, that ended up on Wii or PSP. It should be time to do something like that on 3DS.
