Yeah this is the true post-Golden week effect. Last year was also really bad (though not as bad). I remember it was the first time in ages the 3DS dropped below 40k and everything else was 10k and below. Dat mobile dominance.

Well no, I get that but some people don't, which is why i'm asking. Handhelds and console games are shitty now and people are expecting record breaking hardware sells. Japanese titles have been suffering from quality degradation for like 5-6 years or so.

Also - and this to me is the start of the big sea change - the bottom floor of the key Traders store in Akihabara has started moving it's video games premier store space out so that they can replace those areas with second hand mobile/tablets.
