I would guess #1 but almost certainly would be restricted by region.Hmm. That could mean two things - 1 bundling of F1 into Netflix, or 2 use of the Netflix infrastructure to host it's own service.

?
I don't have digital cable, but Eurosport 1 is on my Ziggo Go, so I can't imagine it's not there.
It could be a pilot program (pun intended).Netflix has never done live broadcasting, so anyone expecting that is setting themselves up for disappointment.
It's more likely to be old season reviews or documentaries.

The question of live broadcasting is what I thought of after I posted the above.
If they really wanted to work with a live delivery system then they would do well to look at WWE's network platform - I think the NHL uses that platform for their online service??
Actually MLB TV made that, and yeah, it's what I advised the social media person on Reddit: https://www.theverge.com/2015/8/4/9090897/mlb-bam-live-streaming-internet-tv-nhl-hbo-now-espn

Disney bought BAM Tech this year, so that's out of the question (if they're going to partner with Netflix at all).
Disney is on Netflix.I kid.
I doubt Disney bought it so they could stop supplying customers with their tech, it's good business and they have a ton of clients now. They can stream Wrestlemania to almost 2 million people worldwide in 720p without a single glitch, I'm sure they will be an option Liberty is looking at.
Again, I'd be very surprised if Netflix suddenly became a live streaming service and Liberty would not set up their own service for that somewhere down the line.
The new gloves would lock out a drivers car from anyone else using their bio data, preventing a desperate Alonso/Verstappen from stealing any other car on the grid that can regularly finish races.
Dutch power, until 2020!

The Los Gatos, Calif., company isnt interested in buying rights from established sports leagues because, according to Sarandos, the leagues hold all the pricing power.
The 51-year-old executive, speaking at a media conference in New York, highlighted as an example Disneys X Games programming on ESPN. Disney developed the X Games and owns the rights to the events.
Thats what it would take to get me into sports, Sarandos told the audience at the UBS Global Media & Communications event.
Bottas breathes a sigh of relief.
For now.
Nah, I bet they're building that team around him and offered him quite a bit of money.
I also reckon there is some development on the engine front post 2018 that gave him some confidence to sign on.

I hope F1 stays far away from the MLB stuff.
I mean it works ok and looks great, but who would want to watch a race "live" on a 2+ minute delay?

I'd be fine with up to 20 or 30 seconds. What delay is acceptable?

Anything much more and it's hard to participate in a chat or thread during the race without getting spoiled about someone's upcoming pass or crash

Strange decision by Max, maybe he doesn't see a chance of moving to Mercedes or Ferrari?
I imagine this also changes his contract for 2018 and 2019 which could be the reason. Gives him some more options if RBR disappoints.Strange decision by Max, maybe he doesn't see a chance of moving to Mercedes or Ferrari?

Why already sign for 2020 when you still have a contract 'till 2019 anyway? Wonder what RBR offered to convince him to do that.
In 2011, Alonso signed his contract extension with Ferrari until the end of 2016.
It's not to say that the length of the contract doesn't mean anything, but Jos probably made sure to have a performance clause and probably others in it that would allow his son to leave sooner if he wanted to.
Heh, Ricciardo is lurking right around that corner.
Ricciardo is gonna be our new savior at Ferrari, he's not going for Bottas his seat.

Not sure why Max would be scared of Honda when his Renault engine has completely shat the bed all season.
