Okay so I’ve done the waltz mission and the game has said fast travel is now possible between metros. Downtown court and trinity metros are both green with a white chevron on them, putting my cursor on either of them does nothing apart from bringing the info window up. No press square to fast travel, am I missing something?!

Go to the metro station and fast travel from there.

Tried that, inside perimeter and down the escalators too. Still no prompt on map.

Edit: Got it sorted, had to delete and reinstall the game and now prompt is showing. (PS5)

I was unsure about this game especially since the Cyberpunk fiasco but I’m loving it!
I had a few hiccups with the game not saving because I blocked denuvo communicating, I think.
On my 3080 powered PC @ 4K RTX: on. I’m getting 50-60 fps which is just a bit shy of where I’d like it. I also get some large dips occasionally which I’m blaming on denuvo.
Every denuvo cursed game cause the same performance hits on my pc, damn-it.

Quick question: Can I get back to old old Villedor once you get to the main map? Do I have to finish all quests there first or how does that work.

I have the same question, maybe you can use the sub train station to travel between locations...

What cpu? What makes you think denuvo is taking enough to hit 60

The shine is starting to fade for me. Maybe I've spent too much time wandering in the first area but I've gotten annoyed with how many copy and pasted areas there are. The GRE's all have the same 2 layouts, 2 honey gathering layouts, and I've fought the 3 zombies guarding a chest about 4 times now on different rooftops are just some examples. Also why do the bandits all say the same cuss words when I pass by them, it's pretty annoying.

I don't fear the normal zombies on the street like I did in the first game as I don't think I've died one time to them. They do take a lot of hits to kill, but they are easy to avoid and rarely overrun you, they are just kind of window dressing.

On my XSX the random flickering black triangles are gone however I now get grey stretched textures near the Bazaar entrances. Minor stuff.

There's more incentive to running around at night and I'm more confident compared to the first game.

The "story" so far isn't as bad as I expected. Let's say it's serviceable.

But man that parkour! I'm buying a fan just to simulate the wind in my face as I'm running around rooftops like a monkey Ezio on crack.

And don't be an unaware dumbass like me and sell all your valuables!! I went from a hobo to Richie Rich in 1 button press.

EDIT: Nevermind, black texture triangles everywhere...

Yea same here, I'm about 15 hours in and its starting to feel a bit of a drag, at least on the main story, according to a quick look at a walkthrough I'm about 3/4 of the way through.

Its not as special as the first game really tbh, its been a fun playthrough but I'm starting to feel like I wanna get to the ending now and move on, especially with whats coming out later this month

An observation on slashing weapons vs blunt: slashing are 100x more satisfying to use. Constantly chopping off heads, arms, legs, cleaving a torso in two, it never gets old. What can Techland do to revamp blunt weaponry? Easy, bring back x-rays but make them way more impactful/dynamic.

What I'd like to see is x-rays on critical hits, same way time slows when you sever a limb with slashing weapons. What would happen here though is you would trigger an x-ray animation of the bone shattering depending on the point of impact. Shatter the ankle, blow out the knee, smash the skull. In the same way a zombie can still be alive after cutting off an arm they could still be alive after breaking one of these bones and their animations would reflect the trauma, limping if you took out a leg etc. Of course this will never happen but man I wish it did, blunt weapons just aren't nearly as fun to use.

Really digging the paraglider, recommend fully upgrading it ASAP. Takedowns can be initiated while flying which is a very cool touch. I'd still give an edge to the parkour mechanics but it's something different to keep things interesting. I'd agree GRE facilities are repetitious, they should have all been made to be unique structures to add some flavour to the mix, minor gripe overall though. 25 hours in, still zero bugs besides the black flicker which should be fixed this week, hopefully the patch doesn't break something else lol.

Yeah, it feels a lot more like a ubisoft title. There is a lot of copy/paste going on. Every abandoned bus is the same with the same things inside. All rooftop houses are the same, etc.

Biters should be in greater numbers and be more aggressive. They should grab you more. I think it's mostly the difference between villador and harran. In harran everything was crammed up. Biters felt more like a threat because you had little room to move. In villador you can easily avoid them and just fly away.

I don't think this is something that can be patched by the devs due to performance issues on consoles. But I hope modders can improve it.

Speaking about mods I used a guide to edit some files and reduce the hud clutter.

I do miss the smoothness but it sure looks nice

Ok the eurojank and lack of polish is rearing its head. You'll see sloppy stuff like grass poking through solid objects, which ok whatever, but it'll happen in places that you'd figure they'd put a bit more effort in. There was some side mission where you go to a monument to light a candle and it's a cutscene showing the plaque with name of people who died....with grass poking through and swaying. It's so sloppy haha.

And what's the deal with how they handle npc's poet conversation? You're done chatting, they walk out of the frame and just disappear into thin air?

I started it today, I'm only a couple hours in. I think it's ok, I may just not be in the mood for this type of game right now. Repetitive open world games have been really wearing on me lately. I hope I have fun with it though, I don't plan on spending a ton of time with it unless I absolutely love it. The tediousness of going up to everything and looting it feels a little out of place in this game. This is a game where you want to run around, but the stopping and having to loot stuff kinda conflicts with that as opposed to say a game like The Elder Scrolls.

Btw, I heard multiple reviews classify this game as an RPG? If this is an RPG I have no idea what an RPG is anymore.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
My order is coming tomorrow but I'm gonna hold off on this for a bit, the planned patch road map has a few things I'd like them to patch in first beforehand. Namely the 60+ FPS and motion blur toggle. I generally don't like to keep MB on in 60 FPS games if given the choice.

In the first game blunt weapon were the shit.

They made combat more arcadey and less heavy\dynamic in the sequel.

Took me nearly 40 hours to finally get to the center and holy shit it's like a whole other game with the new gadget and layout.

Now that y’all played it do you still miss the guns?

Not really. Guns were kinda wonky in the original and they were never really the focus anyway. Plus with the world that's created, it make sense that there isnt any ammo for them anymore anyway. It would be kinda cool to see some old guns refashioned into melee weapons though but I haven't seen anything like that yet.

Its not so much that it was a good mechanic, it was somewhat bad in the first. It was cool just having other options and more believable. Looting a police car and finding a pistol. As long as the shooting/guns was kept rare and to the minimum I think they should return.

It would not be fun if every roof guard had a auto AR ready to spray you down.

I want to say that I hate the UI. Why does the compass disappear at times for seemingly no reason? Also, mission markers seem to disappear when you get close.

Im trying to figure out what the deal with the quest markers is as well. Either they're bugged or maybe some quests are only available at very specific times of the day/night, so by the time you get to them that window that they're open for might have passed.

I'm kinda bored by it already. Nothing against the game, I just get bored of these sandbox style games quickly. They feel repetitive. But I'll stick through and finish it. I just have no desire to explore or look for things, I don't find the setting the least bit interesting. I feel like I'm leaving so much meat on the bone though.

Does anyone here buy weapons or do you find all your stuff? I haven't spent any money on anything yet.

Alright, they said the patch would be released the middle of this week at the latest...this flickering black screen issue is driving me nuts. Let's go techland!

Try going through story missions or joining a coop game, when I got bored in the first one I just would mess around and help people in coop

Rolled credits at about 30 hours or so, its a great solid 7/10 game for me, not as good as the first game but I still enjoyed it, the ending kinda dragged on and the game fucking bugged out one of my choices (luckily I still got the best ending)
Frank got killed despite me clearly saying I wanted to save him

I like the game (40 hours in it already), but it is true shit ton of obvious stuff is copy pasted, and it retroactively makes me appreciate Night City even more than I already did.

It is more RPGish than the first game. Interactive dialogue with occasional choices, clothes that have stats and aren't just cosmetic, ability to influence who controls which part of the city, multiple endings. I would call it action game with some prominent RPG elements.

I only miss the pistol. Headshots with it in the first game were amazingly crunchy (e.g. 4:50 in the vid):

Pistol should have been in DL2, with super rare bullets.

I dont know if it is a different bug you are experiencing, but they (for whatever reason) made the compass go away for a few seconds whenever you use your survivor sense.

Also, just want to chime in and say that once you get the grappling hook, the parkour shit that opens up is really cool.

My inventory has 6/24 weapons, but only 4 show up.

Can anyone explain what's going on? Why can't I see my other weapons?

60FPS+ mode now enabled on Series X.
Who's going to be the first Youtuber to give us a framecount?
Or maybe a Gaffer?

Considering the game runs at 1080p, I have to imagine that the framerate range is around 75-90fps.
PS5 could do this, too, if they would just enable VRR and forget about their stupid TVs.

Hmm, I guess they didn't patch the audio glitch yet unless it's bundled with the "various fixes". That was the only glitch I noticed and it was pretty awful since the subtitles break along with it.

I still have black lines coming off NPCs on XSX.
Crashes on quest completions and interacting with questgivers.
I hate playing a game whie walking on eggs.

I'm taking a break.

Just got to the second area.

I'm enjoying the game, but I'm not really a huge fan of the parkour. I know everyone loves it, but it just feels kinda awkward to me, I think I just don't like this kind of platforming and jumping around in first person.
