Seems to be deleted how does it work?
My bad, I shared it with my group chat yesterday, didn't realize it got deleted today (on mobile).

1. Set up a solo Breakthrough game on Kaleidoscope with Beginner difficulty bots.
2. Select Angel as your specialist, spawn beacon as your gadget, and the gun you want to level up.
3. The bots on your team should have no trouble taking the A and B sections of the map, it may take a while if you don't help them.
4. When it's time to take C1, you want to go to the building where C1 is and find the 2 elevators in the corner of the building near the 2nd floor entrance. Maybe leave a spawn beacon at the ground floor of the building until you find the correct set of elevators since getting back here can get annoying.
5. Once you take the elevators up, you'll know you took the right elevators when the edge of the building is to your immediate left, you'll want to drop down and wrap around left of the elevators around the edge of the building, and you should find yourself behind some piping where you can go prone and see an opening.
6. Leave a spawn beacon directly behind you so you can spawn back to that spot directly if something goes wrong, but essentially, the enemy bots cannot hit you when youre prone and behind those pipes, and your team won't be able to capture this point unless you really clean up the roof, so now you just mow everyone down from behind the pipes with the weapon you want to level up. Since there's almost always at least 10-12 bots on the roof, you'll get 200+ kills easily in 30 mins, and 300+ once you get better at this process. I fully max out 1.5 guns per run.
7. You wanted to be Angel for this process so you can replenish your ammo every 10 seconds with your tactical. I'm guessing this would work with an ammo box load out too but you wouldn't have a spawn beacon then.

I had one occurrence where I died due to an incendiary grenade, but I think that was just a one-off and prolly wouldn't happen again.

You'll run into a bug once you unlock everything, but certain later attachments aren't actually unlocked (still greyed out despite the condition being fulfilled). Just restart the game and you'll have the attachments.

This is a pretty egregious exploit so I expect DICE to patch it. Going to try to max out all the base guns before they do.

I don't understand why people buy a BF game at launch expecting it to be polished to perfection, and then become outraged when it isn't. As a longtime fan of the series I went into BF2042 expecting it to be a mess (albeit a fun one at that) and thats exactly what it turned out to be. I don't understand how people continue to buy BF games at launch, complain that they're buggy, and then repeat the same process 2 or 3 years later.

From what I've noticed, most people just follow narratives they read online and don't actually play these games. Basically, people need to be told how to feel towards things.

I got reported for saying under all the issues and lack of content in this game, is an 8/10 game lol.

If you guys are looking for an easy way to unlock all your attachments:

Just did this for all of my SMGs and ARs, and one LMG. Working on the second LMG right now. MP9 and AK12 with drum mags absolutely slap.

So what did you do? The post is deleted.

Man, I know it's busted in a lot of ways, and the changes are baffling to say the least...but despite all the issues and all the bad design issues....

...My friend and I are having an absolute blast, the core of BF has always been fun and that fun is still here. So conflicted here...

I have tried to love it just too many issues especially when playing online.

By far the most enjoyment I have gotten out of it is playing coop with one of my youngest nephews vs the Ai

The way i see it is all of these issues are easily fixable, there's just so many of them. There's nothing actually fundamentally flawed about this game like the crafting system in Cyberpunk. Even the whole "classes > specialists" stuff can be fixed if they categorized the specialists like Overwatch did and likewise with the gadgets, which they probably will.

The game will be amazing in 6-12 months, like every other BF / DICE game before it lol.

Well you see the items being unlocked in your HUD when you actually unlock them, but you can also see your gun unlocks at any time through the Menu > Collection.

The drum mag is typically one of the last attachments for most guns, so when I see I unlocked that I know I'm done or almost done.

gave this game another solid shot last night with the last of my EA Play trial and its just not great. The guns make no sense. A submachine gun with a scope seems better at mid range than the assault rifles. There is a crazy amount of spray and burst firing doesnt seem to do much if anything for accuracy. The operator system seems shittier and shittier the more I play, the maps feel kind of aimless (for lack of a better word). Also is Portal dead already? I turned off crossplay (dont want to play with PC players) and there is almost nobody in Portal servers. I only found two that had decent populations and they were only shitty rule TDM games.

There is fun to be had still (graphics are nice, the game seems to run pretty solidly on PS5 and the guns feel snappy) but I've been going back to BF4 and its such a better game that its really staggering to see how DICE has gone down hill ever since.

For those holding out hope that DICE will fix this game, I really hope they do. As it stands though, if this game didn't have Battlefield on the tin I would guess it was some kind of knock off from a different studio.

UPDATE #2- CHANGES + FIXES
  • Bullet spread has been reduced on all weapons except Shotguns. This should result in better accuracy during gameplay
  • Increased PP-29 vertical recoil to ensure that the weapon does not overperform when engaging outside of its intended combat range
  • Resolved an issue where players who were killed close to obstacles such as walls or water were unable to be revived
  • Resolved instances where players were stuck in a downed state and unable to respawn. We’ve also introduced a hidden timer that will activate after 30 seconds of being in a downed state that will force a redeploy should it be required
  • MD540 Nightbird Mounted 20mm Cannons - we are reducing the radius at which bullets do damage upon impact, and decreasing their splash damage
  • KA-520 Super Hokum - 30mm Cannon (side mount) - we are reducing overall damage and range at which bullets do full damage, while increasing the overall bullet spread
  • AH-64GX Apache Warchief and KA-520 Super Hokum - 30mm Cannon - we are reducing the radius at which bullets do damage upon impact, and decreasing their splash damage
  • We reduced the overall damage of the Minigun for all Land Vehicles, alongside bullet damage drop off now starting earlier
  • Equipped armor type for the LCAA Hovercraft has been adjusted which increases it’s vulnerability against different weapon types
  • Battlefield Portal - UAV-1 [Re-enabled, reduced health regeneration, increased missile damage, now able to roadkill]
  • Breakthrough matches will now correctly end after the last sector has been captured
  • Resolved an issue that caused players queued for a match in Battlefield Portal to be sent back to the menu, instead of joining the match when a slot became available
  • Made general improvements to stability to prevent rare occurrences of game crashing
More details found here:

Patch will be available on November 25th.
-
Essentially:
Revive Bug Fix = Check
Hovercraft Nerf = Check
Bullet Spread Reduction = Check
PP29 Nerf = Check
Downed/Respawn Bug Fix = Check
Matchmaking Queue Fix = Check

Very nice!

Yeah, but its easy to see why people who don't watch Jack's streams will see what he's doing as covering up for DICE.

Not everyone is going to sit through multiple 3+ hour streams for his impressions on the game. They're going to wait for the shorter, more dedicated 10 minute video breaking down his impressions of the game. And, when he drops these smaller videos, and they're all positive, off topic, or don't mention any issues with the game... then you know how it looks, and I'm sure he does too lol. The video he made about the issues in the game only came after the Day 1 patch, which makes sense and should be how things are done, but he could've made an effort to be more transparent, not only about the game's issues, but his approach to reporting on the game's issues (i.e. waiting for the Day One patch to release a short dedicated video about the issues in the game).

Its not a wild reach as Jack wants to frame it that people assumed he had a promotional deal with EA and that's why he wasn't releasing any videos dedicated to reporting on issues in the game.

I remember during the open beta, dude was one of the main guys insisting this beta was a different 6 month old build lol.

well, he was kinda right, the launch version is undoubtedly better than the beta on console, but its arguably worse on PC in many ways (ex. average FPS and FPS spikes).

People were making xp grinding servers in Portal, so rather than address it in a technically creative way, they disabled advancement in it. So, people stopped playing. That they still haven't addressed it is pretty much proof they are putting potential revenue ahead of the fun of players, even if that means making a large portion of their content and the most novel system in many years, useless.

On the latest patch notes, there may be a reason to actually use an AR now. Will need to test later.

I hope the 3rd update will fix the janky/laggy movement of the game. They already acknowledged it as an animation bug but it drives me crazy. Feels like your movement is always rubberbanding a little

Do you by chance have on hand where they call it an animation bug? Movement and screen shake being at minimum 50 is my biggest gripes with the game I am waiting to use the rest of my trial until they at least fix one of those.

Calm down mate it ain't that deep. Whatever the problem is the point still remains that Dice's standards have dropped, especially on the technical side.

Nah, it only "ain't that deep" when folks actually look into those claims man, suddenly it "ain't that deep" when that narrative falls apart lol

I don't see anything dropping in standards here in terms of tech.

The biggest maps in BF history
Highest player count in BF history

I don't see them dropping, I see them doing much more difficult things on that front, not simpler.

So on the tech side they are updating and patching like usual for a BF release.
I don't understand why people buy a BF game at launch expecting it to be polished to perfection, and then become outraged when it isn't. Agreed. BF is a easy title for me to buy at launch simply because the trust and support of DICE is legendary at this point. We all know they will patch, update, provide content. I simply can't judge buying a title based on less then 1 week, of something I could be playing for 8 years foh lol

This has always been a process of updates, patches and continuous support

Nahhhhh I'd argue their videos are when I first started hearing about many of the games issues. This is a narrative that is just false, you can literally see entire streams of them commenting about issues and talking about what needs to be fixed and problems they are having on screen etc.
Yeah, but its easy to see why people who don't watch Jack's streams will see what he's doing as covering up for DICE.

Well sure, anyone that slow likely also doesn't watch enough to even prove the claim, they just watch 2 minutes of someone having fun, get triggered and proceed to pretend THAT IS ALL that the did the entire time. Then make it sound like Reddit must be "all da facts" (a place literally that has a list of many things that are factually false regarding the game).

So I'm not shocked at them making it sound like no one is saying this or that. They make it sound like he needs to BASH BF 2042, he can't just bring up the issues, he needs to make threats, build bombs, dox etc They literally make it sound like you need to either bash them or you are with them lol

Westie on the other hand blatantly avoids

This is false. Stop. I don't even get the fucking point of this when the thing you are talking about easily could have been looked up. It took me mere seconds to find fucking footage of this shit man lol SECONDS, 1 quick google annnnnd here we are.

I don't just make up that someone is this or that, I need to look that shit up myself and see whats going on and form my opinion,. Its not saying it can't be true, its saying I need more then just someone's word that its true. I need to see first before posting such odd, hot take claims.

Yep, i've said this in another thread, he(Jackfrags) tends to look at things as glass half full. That's just how he approaches his content, that's not Battlefield specific. Even when he's sounding negative about a game(not just Battlefield but in general), he "tends" to not rage. He just sounds like a dude having a casual convo. I guess that's part of the reason why people get triggered too, they want him raging like everyone else and not gravitate more so to things he may enjoy within the game. So when he makes a comment that's negative towards the game, people who don't really watch his channel don't see it and even when they do, he doesn't sound like he cares because of how he talks about it. The thing is, his channel didn't grow and maintain the audience he has be because he's some loud mouth rage guy who made videos after videos showing bugs and glitches we need to protest yada yada. He has been able to maintain it because he's good at the game, he's easy to listen to and you don't have to worry about having the volume turned down really low where ever you are. All those things and more.

I have my issues with the game and mine are more to on the design side but i'm not mad about Jackfrag's coverage because he's pretty consistent to me on how he runs his channel and talks about things overall.

Well yea, I can't recall any lead designer keeping their job for very long after such a terribly reviewed game. Sometimes they limp along while looking for another job while it's obvious someone else is doing the actual design work, but I wouldn't have expected the lead designers of this to last the year. He will only be the first, you can be sure of that.

Well they were likely already leaving as I don't know what they'd really do after its out. He likely already did some design stuff for some future title likely. Regardless, I don't know if how the game reviewed has much to really do with it and we'd need to read why its happeing vs kneejerk reaction, most of gaming is contracted out.

edit . yea so it sounds like it was already planned.

"“While Oskar [Gabrielson, studio GM] and myself have been discussing my succession plans for some time – and it will be announced in due course – we opted to delay this communication till after launch to keep the focus "

Bigger maps and more players means jack shit when three quarters of the maps are barren and the assets that are there aren't all that impressive. I'm playing on PS5 and in many instances the game looks worse than Battlefield 1 on PS4. It does look impressive in parts but overall it's not all that.

Game looks smoother imo. But it looks like they reduced the res a bit. Bloom is a lot better albeit only at the gun's respective range. I think imma go back to the first DMR. That way I can at least push for objectives which is difficult with the SVK's rate of fire. I also believe they reduced the number of hovercrafts allowed at the same time.

Seems like update 2 is out

https://www.videogameschronicle.com...eld-2042-update-dice-reveals-the-big-changes/
Update 2 will also apply a number of changes to fix the ‘spread’ on some weapons, which is the angle by which a bullet may deviate from what’s being aimed at. The team says this is too high, especially on assault rifles, so it’s making the following changes:

  • Reduced spread globally when zoomed and moving
  • Improved stationary zoomed accuracy for many weapons
  • Spread now decreases faster and earlier when pacing shots. This means more success with single-fire or short bursts
  • Increased PP-29 vertical recoil to ensure that the weapon does not overperform when engaging outside of its intended combat range
The other main changes being made to Update 2 are as follows:

  • Improved Soldier Revives, addressing ‘unable to revive when a Soldier dies close to an object, or wall’
  • A respawn protection system that will help to prevent any extraneous issues that can leave a player in a downed state for too long, and force a manual respawn when required
  • Re-enabling our UAV-1 Interaction in Battlefield Portal, available on our Battlefield Bad Company 2 maps. It was overpowered, and we’ve made adjustments to account for that
  • Vehicle Balancing for the LCAA Hovercraft and MD540 Nightbird mentioned above
  • Dispersion has been reduced for all weapons except Shotguns, which results in more consistent bullet spread during gameplay
Following Update 2, DICE will be releasing Update 3 in early December, which is planned to be a significantly larger update that will fix a number of issues.

ah already posted oh well

Maybe that's a console thing then, because on PC it looks like a step up for sure.

Man they really need to completely overhaul the start of Conquest.

Why can't they let me spawn in vehicles as a passenger at the start of each round? Who cares about this stupid 10 second "intro" where everybody jumps out of the helicopter, watching that got old after three times and it completely ruins the flow.

If you're on Hourglass and aren't lucky enough to get in a vehicle you're gonna have a bad time, good luck running like an asshole for 10 minutes to the nearest objective which at that point is already captured by vehicles so you have to run even more.

Instead of running to the objective I just kill myself when the first points are captured and spawn at a different location. The size of certain maps is insane. That one snow map? Absurd distances between points even with 128 players, especially that one in the mountain.

Battlefield 2042 facts:

You will die in less than 30 seconds usually.
Angel will get killed before his crate hits the ground.
There is always someone behind. Behind you or the guy you just killed.
You will never have the right tool for the job. An enemy tank is right beside you unaware of your presence? Well, too bad you have an AA launcher instead of C5.
9 times out of 10 you'll get killed with a headshot by a PC player with any weapon from any distance.
9 times out of 10 if a teammate does not attempt to revive you, it's a Sundance.
