iOS has built in ad blocking ability! It does suck on Android. Lots of things run slower because of Chrome. You must really love ads...

They can be blocked with Adguard. Free for every browser and Premium also blocks in-app ads.
Premium Version is pretty cheap if you pay in russian rubles :3
I can't download it to my 3T even though it's on my 6P; not compatibleSamsung Browser (available to all Android devices) supports extensions and there is an ad blocking extensions.
.
Yeah, Chrome isn't compatible with the screen ratio of the GS8 as of yetMaybe I've never noticed before but does anyone have an issue with chrome and their gs8 where there is a black gap between the notifications and the top of chrome?

Same. Moto Z Play. That's one of the few things I miss from my Note 5. I loved that browser.I can't download it to my 3T even though it's on my 6P; not compatible
I trust a Russian app that creates a VPN on my phone about as far as I can throw it. You can use Android Putin if you want.
I try not to use apps with ads. I'll usually pay to remove them.
And it mysteriously happened around the S8 launch.Same. Moto Z Play. That's one of the few things I miss from my Note 5. I loved that browser.
Anyone got an LG V20? Thoughts? Feedback?
(Other than possible bootloop....)

Works fine. It just has to be checked off in Display setting -> Fullscreen apps.Yeah, Chrome isn't compatible with the screen ratio of the GS8 as of yet
Edit: I don't have that problem on my S8+ though 🤔
I'll make it if no one else wants to make it.Which one of you Android dorks is making the new thread?
Make sure it doesn't suck.I'll make it if no one else wants to make it.
i wonder if we're ever getting an op that had some effort into it.
though tbh the android cycle image says all there is to say. person who made it is a genius

WTF is Moto doing? Sooo many fucking models...
hell is going on with gS and gS+They can't even keep the same naming convention across tiers
They just need to shut down already.WTF is Moto doing? Sooo many fucking models...
I'm petty but fhd screens don't do anything for me. On top of that, the X4 looks ugly. What happened?WTF is Moto doing? Sooo many fucking models...

So I'm still rocking my Nexus 6, but I thought I might check and see if there was anything worth making a jump to these days. What say you Android GAF lords?

So I'm hearing that Samsung has an hdr spec on the s8 and note 7 that no content provider uses? What's the point?
It's coming. Netflix just this week launched the HDR update. So far it's only compatible with the G6, but the G6 was out first so it was probably first in que.
That being said expect Samsung to be next.
Amazon is more tricky as they don't really actually have a straight app on the Google Play. Instead it's a bunch of hoops. Not sure if they will bother.
Edit: Unless you mean some other spec beyond DV/HDR10 and then I'm not sure?
Make sure it doesn't suck.
It took a year to hit max post count. Nice.
hell is going on with gS and gS+
Wait, why does Netflix or any other service has to update for each device individually? If they update the content they provide to a HDR spec, shouldn't that work with every device rather than providing support for each device individually?
Lol, so true. The Freedom do the same and while it's nice to get a voice prompt and battery percentage (I hate having to guess) why the music sample and why so fucking loud. The buds are fine to listen to except for one random aggravating flaw: When you turn them on, a voice screams in your ears "POWER ON - CONNECTED TO PHONE- xx% REMAINING" and then plays a short stock music sample at like 1,673 dB. Whoever made this voice prompt that fucking loud needs to be dragged out into the street and beaten until they are unconscious. I literally can't put the buds in until after I've powered them on because of this. You cannot control the volume of the power on voice prompt for reasons I cannot fathom. What the hell, Jaybird?
Force sensitive chassis?
