Gane is the one who likes to hit the back of the head usually.Jones by eye gouge or elbow to the back of the head.
?It would be the best outcome for the sport if John Jones went out there and demolished Gane.
?
Let the young athlete be crowned champion?
Nah; better allow the proven cheater won after 3 years of doing nothing.
Jokes aside, why would Jones victory be better? He is older, and tainted by his life outside the octagon. Better to go fresh with Gane, who at least fought with Ngannou?
The funny thing about Bones is that he’s failed multiple drug tests lol. It’s not a case of him taking a banned substance by mistake and getting caught out. We could forgive him that, but failing 3-4 USADA tests is comical. GSP‘s the GOAT in my humble opinion.?

I should have said younger then, more accurate.Gane is 32
Nobody gives a shit about Gane, Jones is one of the all-time greats, if not the one and true GOAT. It would be a massive story if he won, and it would set up a lot of fights.?

This is why I found it weird. Jones is a GOAT candidate. So Gane victory would be the massive story. And create a new champ with a lot of credibility, needed after Ngannou departure. If Jones win, it will not have the same impact in my opinion, between the "it was obvious" and the "the true champ is Ngannou, he should have returned for him last year". I am for Gane, but will not be upset if Jones won. But it will not be better for the sport if Jones win, unless his victory is needed for him to stay. That would be a different story of course.Nobody gives a shit about Gane, Jones is one of the all-time greats, if not the one and true GOAT. It would be a massive story if he won, and it would set up a lot of fights.
As far as the fight itself, when Jones became more of a striker way back when he put himself on a path for problems. But Gane is the sort of guy who lacks consistent output, Jones might be able to work with that.
Yeah, let the wife beater and cheater being the champion over a sincerely nice guy.It would be the best outcome for the sport if John Jones went out there and demolished Gane.

Nice image for the ufc when their goat is a fucking terrible piece of shit...
I gives 2 fucks about controversy, gane is just a more fun fighter to watch, jones in the past 3 fight looked like dog shit dude (and against people that we discovered being semi-bums), gane vs tuivasa was a better match than all the past 4 fights of jones combined. And who are you, the nice manners police?
This is the fight business.
Who knows what to expect from Jones, he might be nothing as he used to be, whether or not Gane surges would be based on how he beat Jones. But even then, Gane does not have the personality to become a star, he has some great fights and some terrible fights, and I can't see him ever becoming bigger than someone like Stipe, who the UFC struggled with, even if he is exciting to watch. This is why I found it weird. Motherfucker was hiding under the ring from testers years ago. Jones Jones has 100% been roiding for significant parts of his career.I remember reading Jon's USADA suspensions wouldn't have happened under today's current USADA rules:
Thats why it is better for the sport if Gane win, right? Jones does not fight for the champ title anymore, but the GOAT status. If Jones win, it will not be a plus for the heavyweight division, but him alone and I can see him be like GSP did and go away with the belt and use it for negociations with the UFC. Gane is what a new champion is in most cases I think. He will have to use his victories to be recognisable and that is exiting too. We can't always have fighters like Khabib in all categories.Gane needs Jones to be a star, Jones does not need Gane.

The inverse could be interesting too. Gane wins convincingly like Poirier did against Mcgregor and it helps the HW division too. But yes if Jones destroys Gane it will be easy to market a "return of the king" and go from there, be it Ngannou or others HW with Jones defending his title. I am not sure that he will. I think that he will like GSP go away if he wins. Too risky otherwise.Jones goes out there and wins convincingly and you get a star goat status fighter with the HW title, breathing life to the division and opening up a narrative for the UFC to bring back Ngannou.
Better for the sport, maybe, better for the UFC, no.Thats why it is better for the sport if Gane win, right? Jones does not fight for the champ title anymore, but the GOAT status. If he is active like Adesania was, yes. But I do not think that it will happen if he wins. I see him more like GSP vs Bisping, a last fight for the glory against a doable opponent. Hope that he will be hungry for more if he wins against Gane. The heavyweight division is gonna be bigger with Jones as a champ.
If gane starts kicking those flyweight calfs of jones, dude is gonna be in for a long night, nobody even tried to kick jones except one legged santos and that was enough to discourage jones a lot, and gane is arguably bigger and stronger than santos (who fought at middleweight).I think people are underestimating how hard Cyril Gane hit with his kicks.
Look at what he did to Tuivasa who has a lot of padding on him.
Two can play the same game. If Gane goes for the same oblique kicks and elbows.
Bones are going to break.
He was arguably beated 3 times already by santos, reyes and gustafsson, those were paper thin wins that could have gone otherwise very easily.Everything points towards Gane but I simply can't go against Jones. For me the clear MMA GOAT and the favorite in every fight until someone manages to beat him.
Shevchenko looks like she might be slowing down but I don't think Grasso is the one to get it done.
Rakhmonov beats Neal and is probably a future champ.

That was a lame excuse, you don't risk to lose a fight because you are bored, not at that level of competition when you get millions for being the champ, cmon. Not really. Gust was close but it got worse and worse for him as the fight went to the later rounds. It’s debatable sure. Bones destroyed him in the rematch fight though.
Santos and Ryes were on their bikes, neither deserved to win.
And I gotta agree with Jones I mean, how excited could he have been for those guys?
Not khabib, no fight with him involved was ever particularly close.Arguably, but at the end of the day Jones has always come out on top.
Everyone with a fight resume similar to him has actual losses while "decision that could've gone the other way" is the closest anyone has come to beating Jones.
I don't think he's a clear favorite or anything. Like I said Gane is probably the obvious choice, but until someone actually beats Jones I'd always bet on him.
