PS3 only had a single December week 2 week throughout its life that sold better than PS4 did this year which was 2009 thanks to FFXIII.

The king has finally arrived in Japan!

And 3DS sales back behind 2013 levels.

Great boost for PS4. Seems like PS4 going to beast next year with their exclusives planned if this boost is an indication of Japan interest in Home console still for a early bundle.

Disappointing Wii U sales otherwise but Nintendo is milking its current install base so they are ok.

Incredible YW2.5, very solid sales for 3DS softwares, very good number for GTAV an decent numbers for Smash U: happy to see also Captain Toad doing decently.
3DS good but not great, very good PS4 numbers, poor Wii U performances this holiday...

What exclusives? I don't think there's really a whole lot unless you are expecting KH3 and FFXV (maybe but don't hold your breath).

For PS4, it's actually more the effect of both bundles (GTAV and Dragon Quest). Positive sign, indeed. Hopefully, it's not as front-loaded as what happened when Destiny released (which would be especially bad considering this is the Holiday period).

That said, last Thursday when I went to a large electronics store I've seen at least 2-3 people buying the GTA V bundle. Didn't expect the numbers to go this high though.

Cross-gen. But there's Type-0 HD and new Nauro game which are exclusive to PS4
not worth mentioning Xbone.
. Oh and FF X remasters, Disgaea 5 is coming to PS4. That's the only ones I can think of. But still cross-gen will also help move PS4 just look at how this DQ bundel did.

In Japan, basically anything coming to PS4 / XB1 is a PS4 exclusive, even if it does release for XB1 there.

We are now so used to weak numbers in Japan that 68k looks impressive now.
