Ouch @ Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3. It did better on Vita but that's pretty terrible for both, no?

Guess it will be the last one of those(and we probably won't get a western release).

I thought WiiU would do better in Japan with Smash. I guess that wraps it up for it in Japan, its not going anywhere and it won't have a 3DS resurgence. Oh well.

Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3.... welp, good job Koei-Tecmo, good job. : /

Still, surprised by the split between PSV/3DS. It sold rather decently on the 3DS, was expecting worse tbh.

Welp. Good 3DS week, disappointing for the WiiU (no holiday effect this time), mediocre/bad for the others...
Also, wow at guilty gear, way worse than I expected

Smash Bros underperformed a tad but still solid numbers.
Though Oof for Samurai Chronicles 3 and Guilty Gear
Pretty solid numbers for most everything else all things considered

Mario Kart 8 sold 325k in its first week in Japan. Hardware sales just about doubled, so that's pretty much the same here.

I would have expected more for Smash. I thought previous installments opened with about 500k in sales. Could be wrong. Too bad the Wii U didn't get more of a bump.

Yeah, Wii U will have one horrible christmas in Japan. Smash started alright though, didn't it? The Mario Kart bundle just sucks compared to last year's offer, I wonder what Nintendo was thinking here.

Well, it's going to "underperform" since it's on the Wii U period, but in comparison to other Wii U titles, I think we should wait until after Christmas.

That makes a lot more sense. Discrepancy seemed way out of the realm of normal variation.

This is gonna be one bad generation for consoles in Japan, that's for sure.

Worst part is, Wii U will remain number 1 in Japan for home consoles for possibly even 2 years (or whenever FFXV comes out).

That's Xrd's opening? I was expecting it to at least be on par with Ultimax's 81.5k debut, for some reason. Guess that was unreasonable.
