I'd also comment positively PS4 performances, considering how weak the software output has been recently.
Popolocrois had a good first day shipment, waiting for the weekly ST before judging it.

Seriously, Splatoon has good legs. Nintendo is still promoting it and I hope they keep doing so.
I really don't know why PS4 and XB1 increased lol.

Splatoon is doing really well... but I've actually cooled on the game. It's not really holding my interest so much anymore. Still glad to see it doing well.

Fantastic second week for Rhythm Heaven. Less than 60% in its second week = sexy legs.
No comment for Splatoon. It's still doing way too much more than the initial expectations. Especially on the hardware side. Better second week than I expected for Dragon Ball (can we have a 2nd weeks comparisons?), and I don't know how to judge Popolocrois, especially in a definitive way, considering how the franchise has been sleeping for so many years. More of a "wait-and-see" for this one? Still, I was expecting something more for its debut. Good debut for DMC4 too.

The series has been on hiatur for a decade, and was always been released on Sony platforms. The 3DS entry should be able to sell close to the last PS2 entry if it has enough legs (Harvest Moon titles typically have):

If that's how the former games performed...well, I'd say it had a decent debut, considering it sold better than the last two games in the series. Hopefully, it has good legs.

This would've been such a great time, relatively speaking of course, to get another release or two out for the Wii U and build upon the little momentum Splatoon gave it, but of course not. Actually pretty surprised to see PS4 rise because of DMC4.

The further you go in a generation, the more it's going to favor the biggest titles, as everyone has so many cheap existing games to choose from (be they new or used).

The shiny new-ness feeling also wears off your everyday product as well, so people are focusing vastly more on the fundamentals of what's on offer instead of being impressed with the types of production value changes that are nigh guaranteed on a generation shift. If my choice is between spending ¥6458 on PoPoLoCrois or going and buying a used copy of the last Harvest Moon game I missed for ¥1500, there better be a great argument for that.

Or, put another way, it's less the platform, and more what companies are shipping.

I seriously doubt DMC4 affected PS4 and XB1 that much.. Maybe a little number of people were looking for price cut at E3? (PS4/XB1 are still quite niche in Japan that those who are willing to buy do collect news from overseas, especially big event like E3).

Maybe TW3 actually will overtake Xeno X, but looking at how those two are received that's not too surprising (not saying Xeno was received badly but TW3 is received pretty well over here).

Popolocrois and Harvest Moon are two different franchises, and the latter has an actual sizeable fanbase on 3DS.

Also what is the difference between Media Create and Famitsu - since in Famitsu it is tracking Splatoon as 50,008 this week and 350,000 total.
